I am trying to say 'If the driver had seen the stop, he would not have struck the truck' - but am struggling with the conditional aspect. I have:

'Si l'automobiliste avait vu le stop, il n'avais pas heurterait le camion'.

Can anyone tell me if it's right/correct it for me (or tell me how to fix it so that I can correct it?)

I'm off to a wedding in Sao Paulo in late October of this year: sadly, knowing very little about the region (my bad!), I'm not really sure what to see. I'll be there for 2 - 3 weeks, and other than the wedding, have no commitments.

Any suggestions on things that I should do, must see, etc? I'm a seasoned traveller, fit, tend to go off the beaten path a bit, love photography, not really interested in partying/ getting drunk etc every night (though once in a while is fun !), and will be on a reasonable budget. Any suggestions very gratefully received (feel free to just link elsewhere if you know any good websites, etc).

Trying to find a pewter hip flask (NOT a stainless steel one!) in Melbourne, but with no luck. Does anybody know where to get one? (not DJ, Myer...been there, tried those....)

Just wondering if anybody knows whether you can get Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone as a French audiobook?? Have already checked amazon, fnac, etc.
