  • What's the best way to create a guide drawing for an acrylic painting?

    I've tried using pencil but it seems to show through the paint a little more than I'd like. A thin solution of paint would work, but it's a little fiddly and doesn't allow much reworking. Would a charcoal pencil be better, or is there some special sort of pencil that doesn't show through the paint?

  • How do I go about selling my paintings?

    I've got a few of my own paintings that I'd like to sell. I've set up a store on etsy.com, but haven't sold anything. I've considered eBay, but it seems that original artwork never seems to sell there.

    Has anyone got any other good ideas? I'm based in the UK, if that makes a difference.

  • Can anyone give me some advice on buying a hybrid/city bike?

    I'm looking into buying a new bike for around £300. I'll be mainly riding it around city streets, with some occasional light off-roading, so I think a hybrid bike would be ideal. Also, I'm not sure if it makes much difference, but I'm around 6'3 tall.

    I'm planning to go to a local bike shop to try some bikes out, but if anyone has any advice or recommendations in the meantime, I'd be grateful.
