I am a retired AP bio, AP chem, human physiology and astronomy teacher. I hold a BS in biology with a chemistry minor from Penn State University, a Masters Degree in human physiology from Fairleigh Dickenson University, and full phD credits in cardiology from Rutgers University. I completed all of the classwork but never completed my thesis because of being, by then, a full-time high school teacher, a wife and new mother with a small son. I chose my family over further years of night school and endless hours of research, but if you can do it, go to grad school right after college instead of at night because it takes a long, long time when you work during the day and can only attend grad school part-time! That's my best advice for young science graduates trying to decide what to do next. Thanks!
