A woman is giving me mixed signs... how do I approach this?
I've met a lady in university class. She's gorgeous, bright, thoughtful, and matches my wit... everything I could desire. She's also single.
In just four weeks of knowing her, I've met her and hung out with her maybe even more than I do so with my best buddies, mostly at her suggestion.
We bust each others balls all the time. We're comfortable with each other physically: touching, hugging, wrestling, tickling (mostly her being the one to initiate). Additionally, when we talk sitting together closely, she often looks from my eyes to my lips and back, especially when she came by my place (again, at her suggestion). Normally, that's pretty much a dead give-away, and I'd go for the kiss.
A few things are holding me back: she constantly says that we should hang out to become friends, or become better friends, the emphasis being on the word "friends". Also, she says that she's the "no sex before marriage" type. I don't have a problem waiting... except that I have decided never to marry on principle. She knows this, so why the hell does she keep giving me signs that she's attracted?
I've given her several hints that she's confusing me about what she wants but she doesn't get them, or is pretending not to.
Despite being quite good at telling whether a woman likes me, her innocent nature puts a veil on her intentions and I'm utterly baffled. She could be the type to want to really know who a person is before she dates me, but for me, it's become more of a frustration.
So, now that I've bored you to tears, does anybody have any serious suggestions about how to coax her intentions out of her? I could ask her directly eventually, but it's preferable not to.
1 AnswerSingles & Dating9 years agoWhy does royalty still exist in the 21st century?
I'm referring mostly to English royalty, but you could apply it elsewhere.
These people have not achieved anything extraordinary, nor do they govern the country. Yet, they are honored and receive an enormous amount of attention that they probably don't even want. The poor schmucks can't take a dump without it being published.
All of this just due to mere circumstances of birth. So, why is this archaic idea still relevant? Why is it still accepted?
13 AnswersRoyalty9 years agoHow can I get this woman off my mind?
She and I met in high school. That time has passed, and so has college.
From day one, it was obvious (both to me and other people) that she was attracted to me... and I to her. She was gorgeous, fun, and kind. The only things that stopped me from pushing it further were my own shyness, but mostly the fact that she smoked, which turns me off like a light bulb when I see a woman do it.
It's been over four years since then, other women have come and gone, but for whatever reason, she crops up in my dreams, and therefore my thoughts the day after, considerably more than I reckon is normal. Sure, I could just find her on Facebook and see where she's at and how she's doing, but as I haven't seen her in a couple of years now, that's plain weird and borderline obsessive. My diagnosis: it's the regret that I didn't try harder to overcome both the shyness and the smoking and just go for it.
Regardless the reason, this is starting to be bothersome. Has anyone ever had this problem and found a solution, assuming there is one? All serious suggestions are appreciated.
2 AnswersSingles & Dating10 years agoWhy is it that the extermination of Jews is mentioned most when it comes to human atrocities?
As if it's the most terrible thing to happen in the history of mankind. History documentaries/articles only mention in passing unimportant events such as the other 50 million people + who were killed in WW2.
Never mind the extermination of Ukrainians through famine that happened (supposedly) in time of peace... among other genocides that wiped out entire populations.
Politically correct B.S. undoubtedly is tied to this, but I want to see what other people think.
6 AnswersHistory10 years agoWhat effect on society would a truly realistic virtual sex machine have if it was invented...?
...and if it was available to every single person?
My guess is that conventional occurrences of courtship/dating/marriage would drop dramatically.
Might seem like a silly question, but at the rate our technology advances, it could easily happen within our lifetime if people are determined enough, and consequences would be enormous. And let's be honest, it would be in great demand.
I'm curious what people (would) think of this.
1 AnswerOther - Social Science1 decade agoGirls only, what do you find attractive about musicians (guys)?
Do you find a guy who plays an instrument more attractive? Please specify what instrument if the answer is yes. I keep hearing the saying "musicians get all the girls" and it doesn't make sense to me as to why it is so.
9 AnswersOther - Beauty & Style1 decade agoGirls, what deodorant/cologne do you like best on guys?
I've taken it as a mission to better myself in the dating area and smell definitely ranks in the top for me in terms of importance and I figure that it's the same for girls. Any advice is greatly appreciated.
18 AnswersOther - Beauty & Style1 decade agoWhy are guys, in general, intimidated by taller girls?
I am a guy myself and I often find myself more attracted to girls as tall as me or even taller. Also, I'll not note that I'm not very short (5'9). I'd like to know the opinion of both genders. Girls, feel free to comment on what you think of this.
