I'm going to see a show tonight, and I have often wanted to ask if I could get a coffee, because alcohol puts me to sleep, but I am always too embarrassed when there are a crowd of people loudly ordering their beers and Jack n diets.

and The Glass Castle, or generations, like Pillars of the Earth. I like light-hearted books, like The Help. I need at least one sympathetic character and I like happy endings. I like literary fiction, not popular fiction. I'm not a fan of Nicholas Sparks or... oh, I can't remember the name of the series everyone keeps recommending to me with the female cop or detective or something... Thanks for the recommendations. :)

Should I pay $5,500 for a Honda Element EX AWD with over 200,000 miles on it?

Pros for me:

Prius- economical, good for the environment...

Element- I can sleep in the back on road trips, better in snow, I'll be moving cross- country in 3 years and a larger car will come in handy.

Obviously, I have more pros for the Element, but the pros for the Prius may be more important pros. Anybody have any suggestions or insight?

Be More Chill or It's Kind of a Funny Story-

Which book would be more appropriate to read with a group of seniors in an Alternative school? The class is mostly male, with a mix of kids with bad backgrounds, experience with legal issues, drugs, etc, just to give you an idea of the demographic. Any suggestions?

I was hard-boiling an egg. I put the egg in the pan before the water was boiling, and when the water started to boil, the egged popped in half! When I investigated the egg, now with a split down the middle, it seemed like a normal egg. The white was mostly firm, the yoke was still runny. What caused my egg to burst?

I am a teacher, and I allowed a student to use my computer. When I looked at the computer screen, it had gray smudges in some areas. I asked the student if he had done anything and he swore up and down that he did not. It's not a flat screen. It's an hp pc. It is very uncomfortable on the eyes! What could he have done?

Every once in a while, the gum of the roof of my mouth, usually behind my teeth, will get really sensitive. It will feel bumpy and it will bleed when i brush my teeth. It's happened since I was a little kid.

Or I'll get one little single bump on my tongue that will drive me crazy.

Also, often when it's my "time of the month" the roof of my mouth with feel like it's all one big blister. is this normal? what is it? Thanks! :)
