I had a pretty good limit for ~4 years and never asked for it to be increased, out of curiosity about 2 weeks ago I called and they immediately doubled my credit limit (I feel like I could have got more since they didn't even hesitate to double it, but I thought doubling it was asking for too much!)

I want to apply for another credit card with 0% interest for 15 months but I am wondering when this history of my current card will show up so that when I do apply for the new credit card they can see I have the higher limit and not the one I had for four years? (Since increasing credit limit generally increases credit score)

So there's a lot I could write for you guys to understand my situation in more detail but I'll try to make it short and sweet. I'm a junior, but am currently in college, because of a program at my school. I was thinking of asking my teachers from last year for letters of recommendation, thinking it would make it easier on them if I asked for the letters earlier, and letting them have more time to do them.
