Introduction in to Sociology class

i need to come up with a theory or hypothesis (dealing with manners) then observe folks in three locations for a total of 30 minutes

thing is.....I CANT COME UP WITH A FREAKING HYPOTHESIS!

its supposed to be something like 'do people really wash their hand-or just say so' or ' do people open the door more for men or woman'

help me with a hypothesis please! im drawing a blank!

i can get past the glitch everyone else has but after that when you need to create a strength potion on the roof

ive got a glitch where you need to position the purple/pink gargoyle to break the window to get the third ingredient

THE BLOODY WINDOW WONT BREAK!

the game doesnt crash or anything but the gargoyle swings, you can hear the window break but then...nothing the green window is still intact and all i can do is run around the level desperately trying to figure out how to get in to the bloody room where the last ingredient is

please help get around this

ive got a few questions on how to create my resume

1) its been almost two years since i graduated high school (2009 grad, college drop out, ran out of monetary funds) but i was very involved in my school and community then (joined everything and loved it!) can i put those extra curricular activities on my resume?

2)should i provide a short description of my education or activities and job experiences so far? (ive had 3 jobs, alot of contract work, two colleges, and about 6 or 7 extra curricular im particularly proud of)

ive never needed a resume or had to do an interview because i was always able to find a job because i knew people or i rented my self out for jobs; mostly portraits (which i charged a 1.50 for because i never really needed the money before now and i loved doing it) baking (apparently i make really good spice cookies) sales and misc jobs like cleaning, entertainment or party planing (most of the time it was gratis because...well i love helping people and i had loads of fun doing it...and i wasnt aware that the income that was supporting me was going to die on me :(

any tips or trick on making a resume would be much appriciated THANKS

i read a few pages of it during my middle school days during study hall and this is what happened

the story opened with the blond haired woman whos dreaming about a certain initiation that required her to enter a pod in order to mutate

shes looking forward to it because it was exciting and mutating meant you got to be an 'adult'

her and her friends got into the pods, of course there was a risk because no one knew what you would mutate into

after a certain length of time the mutation was complete and each of them had a certain kind of special power due to the mutation, the girl was a 'flyer' which was rare

the rest had their own powers but there was a complication with some of her friends, two of them die because one of her friends mutant powers made him so gruesome that to look at him meant death and for the rest of the comic he wore bandages

as the comic goes on the mutants are training for battle that made it seem that the mutants were soilders (i maybe wrong on that little detail)

by the way the back ground of this comic was usually an errie underground cave but the pods were definatly back dropped by a dark dead tree and a green horizon

any help appriciated

if you cant figure out this comic, a similar suggestion would be greatly appriciated!

i was wonder what were the legalities of grabbing junk of the side walk on garbage day in canada?

been seeing a lot of great stuff on the street on garbage day, some with signs saying 'free to a good home' some not.

i was wondering if there was anything legally wrong with that? taking stuff that people want to junk

couches TVs screens picture frames furniture etc

it not on public property, its on the end of there lawns

i hear people furnishing entire houses with junked stuff and i always thought it was cool but i remember having a discussion in my high school law class about cops finding evidence in a garbage can and using it to get the guy but how he was let off (im not sure if he got off but i digress) because it was on private property and they had no right to snoop through it with out his permission ( i was on the side of not snooping so you can see my conflict)

Ive never voiced this but its always a thought in the back of my mind

female mosquitoes, when 'feeding'(whatever, sting, bite) they excrete saliva that completely numbs the area so you don't feel the sting. it is also this left over saliva that causes mild skin irritation.

so in theory, if the insect was breed its saliva collected in large amounts and refined, wouldn't it prove to be a very potent pain killer with out the side effects of dizziness or the risk of over dose?

for example; if the saliva was collected, concentrated and altered by adding a certain compound to eliminate the uncomfortable mild irritation ( whatever s in calamine lotion, aloe) and changed for the consumption or application for more serious wounds or lacerations it would completely numb the area allowing for a patient to heal faster with more comfort. even in serious situations that call for an operation or amputation it would be effective to cause less emotional and physical damage (stitches hurt like a female dog!)

just a thought. basically;

could mosquito saliva prove as a valuable substance, if refined and altered, in the numbing of pain or discomfort when dealing with more serious medical complications? or as a pain killer?

(by the way, once the saliva is properly studied i don't see why it could not be created artificially)

haha okay so i thought i would take a crack at it. its really late and im living on no sleep. oh did i mention IM BORED! so here tell me what you think. i havent even given it a read hahah its like 5 am.

5 DEATHS AND A STORY

PROLOUGE

Before I begin let me just say that no one lives through this story. After the final chapter there is no ‘to be continued’, there isn’t a happy ending and there aren’t any twist and turns that will leave you hoping, believing that maybe a character you identified with would survive. No nothing works out, no morals, no preaching, no final realization. The screen fades to black and that’s it. Life doesn’t work out in the end, life won’t give you a second chance. You get one. And then, that’s it. There’s no final solution. Life will go on, whether you’re dead or alive. There are five people, five chapters and one link that connects them all, ill save that for the end.

Any way let’s begin.

CHAPTER 1

Music played in the background.

It was one of those songs that you could almost sing along to if you could remember the words.

The smell of burnt, smoke from his last cigarette

If he had his eyes open he would see the elegant setting of a library completely furnished in dark maple desk, chairs and shelf’s almost stuffed with books, and a laptop powered on in a corner of the room on the floor.

Even with the single lamp on, from the desk and the white glow from the laptop you can see the chaos of the room that this reclining figure sat center of. Organised chaos he liked to call it. Almost every inch was covered in sheets full of doodles he was so fond of making and half finished books and miscellaneous items that he wouldn’t get rid of because it may or may not be applicable in some obscure never to be completed work of mediocre art that he had no interest in. It was a complicated life.

There wasn’t a clock in the room but the light from the window said it was midnight. The moon full and bright gave almost perfect detail to everything.

Let’s not focus any more on this person; i won’t even say his name. Names always create a sense of attachment and familiarity. This person won’t be alive long enough for such unfortunate pleasures as to have someone to morn for him.

The music erupted into static and his eyes fluttered open looking around for this sudden change in what he called ‘man time’

As his eyes passed the window the promised clear night turned foggy, so thick that it was almost entirely white.

A little girl stepped into the fog. Silence. The static that buzzed in the background was gone and the soft sad yet beautiful coo of the little girl sobbing made it to his ears, almost as clear as if she were weeping on his shoulder.

She was scarred and naked, barely a teenager, shoulder length dirty hair hung loose, twigs and leafs stuck here and there, her skin a lighter pale even than the fog.

She walked slowly to the very center of the street to be perfectly framed in the window, her profile to him. Looking at her feet, visibly lost and crying. Arms by her side hung loose, the obvious signs of abuse on her shoulders

He got out of the chair, walked to the window and stood there, stuck between wanting to rush to her aid and staying in the comfort and safety of his study. Her sobs still ringing in his ear.

All noise suddenly stopped, he was deaf. He smelt burning lavender, he thought he was having a stroke before realising that it was supposed to be burnt toast that signalled a stroke. The girl in the street jerked almost as if she was struck and her head slowly rose to stare straight ahead as if she finally realised where she was. Like something had clicked in her head. Like she was aware.

He finally caught a glimpse of her face and saw a tear stained eye and a scar on her cheek. That decided it. The sweet stained angelic face was to much to bear for his heart. He had to rush to her.

He looked around the floor for a towel or blanket he could use to cover the child while he thought of what to do with her. For her.

Suddenly deafening sirens blared in his ears, his heart that was filled with sorrow was now consumed with fear. Squeezing his eyes shut he slapped his hands over his ears to feel a warm sticky liquid run down his palm.

Knees buckling he fell to the floor and in his panic looked out the window. The angelic face that created the feelings of utter helplessness and almost physical knots in his stomach, was now pressed against the window. What he believed was angelic now seemed the spawn of desperate evil demons. One eye hollow and bleeding, beet red against blue ice skin, the other slit under the lower eye lid. H

Hey so i was using this PS emulator (i had to sell my PS a while ago to buy a PC and i found the FF9 like a week ago and i wanted to play it) and it kept crashing so i thought i would look it up and i found this:

One thing that ePSXe seems to be really sensitive to is bus speeds which are out of spec. This means you most probably overclocked your PC. If you are experiencing problems with ePSXe crashing constantly, but never at the same location, then it could be pointing to this problem.

The only way that your bus speeds would be out of spec would be if you are overclocking, so if you are then you might want to try setting your processor back to its default settings with the PCI bus being at 33mhz and the AGP bus being at 66mhz. During testing the bus speeds only seemed to effect Final Fantasy IX, but it might also effect other games as well, so if you are having random crashing problems with any game, this would be something to give a try.

and when i installed it it added a tab to my internet explorer

so every time i open up my web browser the d-tab opens as well as my home page tab

i just deleted d-tools and the tool bar but everytime i open my web browser

the d-tab opens as well

how do i get rid of that?

okay so i downloaded monkey island off bitcomet, pirate bay

now what?

everytime i open it ( using winzip) i scroll through a whole bunch o **** i dont understand (image files, etc) and i get to the folder that tell me how to actually start playing

( file said; (autorun) open=monkey.exe icon=monkey.exe)

so i do what it says and then i get an annoying pop up that i have no way of comprehending

okay so i had an idea for a book and well....

Ive always had ideas but i never really had confidence in my writing

its a mystery/horror novel :P someone dies in the first chapter

i don't like it but....

lets get some constructive criticism, be as harsh as possible :D no offense i swear

excuse the grammar and spelling, out of date software and i wrote it on impulse

i saw her in the middle of the street as the alluring sounds of soft jazz erupted in a burst of static on the radio. But she was more intriging then the miricle of the self tuining radio. i caught a glimpse of her gostly, white, ankle length dress, before the fog settled. i sat up straight in my darkened living room looking out at the figure that could only be described as a dark angle standing under a street lamp with her arms out as if waiting to ascend to heaven. my head was spining as if i had too much to drink. she was ageless, flawless. no seam whatsoever. i leaned forward in the reciner. the creaking of the chair all but drowned out by the now haunting, sweet, sorrowful sounds coming from somwhere in the background. she turned to face me arms slowly coming down to her sides as she turned. her head facing up to the heavens. the street lights flickered. her head inched down until her chin rested on her chest. as soon as her head touched the soft fabric of the dress that covered most of her body the sound of painful weeping echoed in my head above the now fading sound of soulful music. i jumped out of my seat and took the few feet to the window at a run, hitting the window with both my palms to steady myself. my heart screamed for the crying to stop, in desperation i started to pound the window my mouth working, to try and comfort the only possible source of such a devastating sound, but no sound came out. my eyes filled and started pour tears down my face, i didnt realise how cold i was until i felt the sting of my tears on my cheek. i banged harder on the window as a pain started to build in the center of my body. i started to bawl as i felt a hopelessness fill me. i was ready to grab a chair to throw through the window just to reach that pitiful creature on the street. i took a step back and desperately looked for something to break the window with. all music stopped, a second, went by looking for a heavy enough object and i could have hung myself for taking my eyes off her but when i looked up she had pressed her self to the window. what i took to be an angle was now a demon spawned from two of the most devestatingly beautiful beasts ever imaginable. her face was a pale, delicate moon, craters and dark shadows where her eyes should have been, hair hung straight down plastered to one side of her face, and scars bluring the details of her mouth, wide open. she tilted her head slightly. my heart stopped then and all the sorrow, loss and confusion i felt was replaced by fear. a loud, piercing, siern filled my head. my hands slaped the sides of my head and i felt a warm, sticky, liquid seep between my fingers. i squeezed my eyes tight and tryed to yell but again no sound, but the loud, wailling. i opened my eyes a crack to see the demon girl. something about us as humans attracts us to horrifying deadly things. she stood infront of me. her hands blacked reaching for me. the high pitched screech keeping me rooted to the spot. her hands hovered just before my face. my hands still on ethier side of my head, the liquid now flowing freely down my wrist. she slowly closed the gap between us. my mind struggling to free myself from the floor and run. she touched my cheek as a lover would as she inched closer and brought her lips to mine. it all became black.

okay to last night my betta fish were finally ready to mate (at the same time)

my male just started to build his bubble nest (this is at 12am)

i get so excited i put together the breeding tank and i transfer the female

but when i got for the male my hand slips and it slides down the sink

after a few hours of banging on the pipes, i wanted to give up but my mom was determind

she banged on the pipes fo another few hours and declared that she would save my male no matter what

("ill call the plumber in the morning")

now its 3pm and ive got my male back (YAY)

but its really looking awful, i dont want to give up on him now becuz he was apresent to and after all that effort

my male now has;

black spots on his fins

has stoped making a bubble nest, although still has traces of white on fins

stays at the bottom on his tank

(mom sez he hasnt eaten since) loss of appitie

help, i dont want to lose him, how do i get him back and care for him

please give me care tips, and what i should be looking for, in terms of physicall trauma

also, i didnt bother taking my female out of the breeding tank,

should i remove her and start the introduction phase over

right now my males back in his sperate tank and the females in the breeding tank

where do i go from here ?

I know the how, like the introduction phase, when the male and female are ready, but im still unsure about a few things.

-it would really help me out if some one could post the "how to" in easy to interpret steps, just in case i've got it wrong.

-when the fish are ready to breed, do i move the female in to the males tank or vise versa? or do i just move both to a different already set up tank?

Details for question2; the male starts making a bubble nest when hes ready so his tank is sorta where the eggs are supposed to be but there isn't enough room in my male betas tank for both of them, do i move him to a bigger one?

-i think my female is ready but my male isn't, what should i do?

Details for question 3; my female is reagy to mate, should i keeping on waiting on my male who isnt ready yet? would that have any positive or negative effect on my female and her eggs?
