  • How to get better at math?

I am now entering my sophomore year of college and am still terrible at math. I am a straight A student and naturally excel at everything besides math. I am taking chemistry this fall and am slightly terrified to do so without improving my math skills this summer. Are there any recommendations to get better at math? Namely algebra and precalculus.

  • Is my knee bone bruised?

I was playing in my lacrosse game tonight and collided with another (equally tall and skinny girl) at the knee. It was pure bone-to-bone contact when we hit and when I went down the pain was unbearable. The inside part of my knee was the part that was hit and would not stop throbbing. The trainer picked me up, did some ACL tests and determined I was fine. After a few minutes I was able to walk again and start running without much pain. The trained did say it would bruise pretty badly on the outside. But I'm wondering, does this sound like a bruised bone to you? It is still achey.

  • What should I major in?!?

I am a sophomore in college. I have so many interests I have no idea what I want to do. I'm pretty bad at math, but I love science. I don't like economics or law, but I really like political science (debating). I love focusing on education reforms but at the same time I love learning about the human body and diseases. To throw more into the mixture, I have recently found a talent I have in art (drawing, to be specific). The humanities (sociology, philosophy, psychology) etc are the classes I excel in, but they're too easy. I don't mind writing, but I feel as if I'd rather do something else. I love sports but I feel as if I need to be intellectually challenged as well.

    Any advice?!

  • What kind of seizure is this?

This morning (around 6:45 am) I woke up for lacrosse practice. When I turned on the light my roommate jumped up and started yelling she had a headache. If you knew her, you knew this was very unlike her. The fact she was yelling caused me to believe that something was seriously wrong so I gave her some pain medication. She then started to chew on the ibuprofen (which I thought was quite odd) but I didn't say anything. About 30 seconds later she went into a staring spell and was completely unresponsive for about 4-5 minutes. I didn't notice any jerking, she seemed completely still. She then came out of it but had no idea what was going on. Her speech was slurred and her thoughts were coming out jumbled. While she was still in the staring spell I called 911 and she is now in the ER.

    Any thoughts?

  • Should I add biology to my schedule?

I am a freshman in college and I took my intro to biology course last semester. It was alright, I got a 3.0 due to lack of interest in the cellular biology and changed my major from biology to anthropology. The second semester of bio is focused on diversity and evolution. Previously, I did not sign up for it and was thankful I didn't need to continue with it, but now I feel as if that's a mistake. Majoring in anthro would surely call for a class in evolution, right? Besides, I feel as if I'm far too interested in the topic to pass it up, and I believe I could surpass the 3.0 I got in biology last semester.

My other courses are: Cultural Anthropology, Acting, and Religion & Science in Pop Culture.

To add it seems to fit my schedule but does make it much crazier considering I am playing NCAA lacrosse at school, and our season starts in two weeks.

    What should I do?

  • What does it mean to graduate with honors?

I'm in college and I am accepted into the honors program starting next semester. What significance does this hold to landing a job or going on to grad school? Also, what advantage will it give me plus the fact I'm graduating a year early?

    Thanks!

  • Sprint buyback program?

I'm due for an upgrade and plan on getting the new iPhone 5S with my christmas money.

I currently have the iPhone 4S which is a little dented with some scratches on the screen and some minor cracks on the edges. On the website it said I should receive about $115 in buyback credit. Does anyone know how accurate this is?

  • Are non-exotic models ever wanted?

It seems nowadays that all the rave is about 'exotic' models however, I've seen a little bit of a shift in the industry. Models such as Candace, MIranda, and Cara for VS are considered exotic.. and then there's girls like Erin who look more plain jane. Does it really matter how exotic or non exotic you look?

  • How to start modeling for abercrombie and fitch?

I know that you need to work there first, but how long typically do employees work there before doing shoots? Obviously not all employees are selected to be models, however I am a current model for an agency in minneapolis and am very interested in being a model for them as I can see it would be a big step forward in my career.

    Thanks!

  • Sprint buy-back program?

I have an iPhone 4s that I've had for almost two years now and am ready for an upgrade to the 5s. My phone has a crack or two on the front and one on the back. How much does Sprint deduct for damages in the buy back program?

(An iPhone 4s in mint condition would be about $150.00 for the program)

  • Why is the iPhone 5s so cheap for Sprint?

Sprint is offering the iPhone 5s (black, silver, gold) for $99 and two-year contract. However, they are also offering the iPhone 5 for $199 with a two-year contract. Is this too good to be true? Why is this?

  • iPad mini vs iPad air?

I feel like the iPad air would be too thin, one of the many reasons why I chose the Macbook Pro vs the Macbook air. Does anyone happen to like one or the other better? I'm thinking of getting one!

    Thanks!

  • Did I get this biology question right on my test?

For some reason, I froze up on my bio exam today and completely forgot the structure of a nucleus. I put down plasma membrane (which I know is wrong), DNA, ribosomal subunits, RNA synthesis by proteins.

I know if those are right (even though she was looking for something more on the lines of nuclear pores, envelope etc) that she'll give me credit.

    Please help!

  • How to get hair to stop shedding?

Okay so my friend and I are both 18 years old and both suffer from excessive shedding. I'm caucasian and she's half white/half jamaican. Although I'm white, i have extremely thick but (fine?) or straight/wavy brown hair. My friends hair is naturally very curly and thin. We'll both be sitting down and have to pick our fallen hairs off from our jackets constantly. This happens to both of us any given time of the year and we both dont think our hair is getting thinner. Why is this and how can we get it to stop? It's very annoying!
