  • Should a restaurant be liable for damaging my phone?

Last night while dining at a Japanese Steakhouse, the waitress spilled an entire bowl of miso soup all over our table. My phone was setting on the table and took a direct hit. After drying it and inspecting things further I noticed it fritzing out on me and after a few tests discovered the microphone and speakers were fried. The owner/manager (not really sure which) came over and helped clean up, so he was very aware of the situation. I contacted him the next morning after speaking with my phone company about replacement costs etc. and he was very adament that there was nothing he could do for me. He told me it was an "accident" and that they aren't responsible for customers personal property. He said "my hands are tied, I'm sorry". I just don't understand how he feels that none of this is his/the restaurants responsibilty. Any suggestions as to what I can do?

  • Why would a hematoma in my hand not heal?

About 2 weeks ago I had pneumonia and had blood drawn from my right hand. It never bruised and felt just fine. A week I was making dinner and all of the sudden the back of my hand swelled up as if there was something the size of an egg under my skin. I went to the ER and they diagnosed it as a hematoma. I was told to keep heat on it and take an antibiotic. I have been doing as the doc said but haven't seen much improvement besides the swelling going down. It is still swollen, though not as bad, but I still cannot use my hand. I can't make a fist or flex my hand. For someone who is right handed this is unbearable. It makes everyday tasks impossible. If anyone has any ideas or similar stories I would love your advice. Thank you!

  • Anyone worried about the effects of Obama's health care bill?

I fear there could be more negative effects than positive. What do you think about it?

  • Is it common to have a staph breakout multiple times?

I have a two year old daughter who has been diagnosed as having MRSA about 7 months ago. Before that time she had about 5 or 6 boils in a years time. And since being told about the MRSA she's had a 3 boils. Just today we got back from the doctor because she had a case of cellulitis. I hate to think I'm over reacting about this all, but we're military and she never sees the same doctor. Yes, its in her charts I'm sure but I feel like there must be some other tests or medication that could help her. I just hate seeing her in pain. Most of the breakouts occur on her stomach and today she was in so much pain she would only crawl to get around. If anyone knows of anything that might help I would really appreciate it.

  • Anyone think Chris Brown's punishment wasn't enough?

He got 5 years probation and 180 days of community service but no jail time. I mean based on the pictures of Rhianna and how brutal it was you would think he would have gotten some time behind bars, 30 days, 60 days, something. He's such a punk and deserved worse. He did a horrible thing. Karma is a b*tch and I hope it comes back to him 10 fold.

  • Are the people of PETA pro-choice? or pro-life?

We all know where they stand on the rights of animals however. I know many PETA loving vegetarians who are pro-choice when it comes to abortion. I just feel that its ironic to be pro-life for an animal and pro-choice for a human.

  • Do people really think socialized health care is the way to go?

Countries that already have it don't want it and now our President (blah) wants to push for it. Personally I think its a bad idea.

  • Is it really that shocking that Adam Lambert is gay?

He finally admitted in Rolling Stone that he's gay but come on who didn't already know? I mean it cracks me up to see him anounce it like it's some huge shock. Are straight people really thought of to be that naive?

  • Looking for black and white vintage type shower curtain?

I'm wanting to do a red, black, and white style bathroom. And am looking for perhaps an old hollywood type shower curtain. I already have a few vintage B&W Marilyn and Bette Davis pictures. Anyone know where to find anything like this?
