  • Lost my baby and am having a D & E...?

We just lost our baby at 19 weeks. I am scheduled for a D & E (similar to a D&C). Has anyone been through this and can tell me what to expect afterwards? Is there alot of pain? Bleeding? Would a D &E be your choice over labor and delivery of dead baby? It was a tough decision, but I just can't imagine goign through labor and not having a live baby. Any thoughts or experiences will be much appreciated.

  • Has anyone else ever rented a fetal doppler heart rate monitor?

I'm 18 weeks and we rented a fetal doppler heart rate monitor from Belly Beats on the internet. We were able to hear the heartbeat the first 2 nights, but for the last 2 we haven't been able to find it. I don't know how reliable these dopplers are, so I don't know if I should worry or what. What do you think? Let me know your experience.

  • I hate drinking water right now...any ideas?

I used to love water and drank tons. Now that I'm pregnant and dealing with all this nausea, I just can't seem to drink even 1 glass. I know it's important to stay hydrated, but what else can I drink? I want to stay away from caffeine, diet drinks and sugary drinks . But I can't think of any other options - can you??? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
