Why is the Austrian Freedom Party considered "far right"?
I'm doing far right parties for my dissertation and after reading their policies the closest thing that I could find to outrageous is their opposition to civil partnerships otherwise there doesn't seem to be anything that supports this claim. Did they have ties to fascists in their early days or is this just a desperate attempt to smear them? I should also point out that I have read much worse from other parties on the "far right" and the Freedom Party is by far one of the most moderate in relation to other groups.

I know Fascism is rightly frowned upon because of what the Nazis did but let us not forget the atrocities done in the name of Communism by Stalin, Pol Pot, Kim Jong Il etc. I'm just curious as to why there is hardly any outrage when one person declares themselves a Communist and why there is so much when declares themselves to be a Fascist.

I have never understood the logic behind this because whether I'm going home from uni for a weekend or for Christmas or Easter my laptop goes with me and at home if I want to watch something on Iplayer live because my parents are watching TV its legal but if I want to do the same thing in halls of residence its illegal why is this?
