  • Car accident charges?

My girlfriend used my car on June 9th to run erronds, and she was involved in a car accident. The car is registered in my name and she is not on my insurance policy. Now nearly a month later, her family is trying to press charges on me for the car accident. Is this even possible?!

  • question about small claims/restraining orders.?

I am planning to place a restraining order on my ex girlfriend because of harassment. I also, however, plan to place a small claims order on her in the near future. My question is: Will I be able to take her to court for small claims while having a restraining order on her?

  • restraining order question?

An ex girlfriend of mine owes me quite a bit of money. I've reminded her on multiple occasions that if i don't see some of it coming back, I would take her to small claims. Instead of coming to a deal, or working out the situation, she called me today and said "I will meet with you and talk with you about the issues, if you bring me 40 dollars for my time. If not, I am filing a restraining order against you." Is this legal? It seems like extortion and/or coercion to me in attempts to keep me from filing a claim on her.

  • Small claims question: Law?

Over the course of a year, I dated a girl who was financially in trouble. Trying to be as helpful as I could for her and her daughter, I loaned a large some of money to her over the course of our relationship (enough for small claims suit). Well long story short, I'm no longer with her for some serious reasons (I.E. drug abuse, lies, and danger to my family) and I want to take her to small claims to get my money back. I have a voice recording of her saying that she owes me the money to an exact amount, and also have a lot of receipts for money I've loaned her. The problem is, I know she doesn't have a job or any money to her name. Am I still able to take her to small claims to get my money back?

  • My ex owes me money, small claims?

Over the portion of almost a year, I was dating a girl who constantly needed financial help I.E. Groceries, bills, child-care etc. After about 9 months, she got careless on how she was spending her money and I found out what she was really using it for. (Drugs). Anyway, once I found out about this, I was already about $4,000 in the hole with her. Since I knew the relationship was gone, I then focused on how I could get my money back.

I got verbal admission from her (through a recording device) that she owed me 4,000 dollars. It was clearly stated through the recorder that she had full intentions of paying me back the money I lent. I also have many receipts of money orders/and ATM slips for the money she used, but not in full.

If I decide to take her to small claims..... Will having the verbal admission of owing 4,000 dollars and most of the receipts be enough to win a small claims case. I live in Wisconsin where recording a person without their knowledge IS legal to do as long as 1 party (me) knew the recordings were taking place. Thanks for your help!

  • My girlfriend owes me money?

I've been dating a girl for a while now. When we first met, she was working as a nurse and the proud mother of a 2 year old girl. After about 2 weeks, I got a call from her saying she was attacked by a mugger. Shortly after her attack, she left her job for emotional purposes.

Since she quit, she hasn't had money to use on any of the expenses she has. I offered to help her out while she was out of work with the necessities to which she agreed. I then told her "i'm not made of money and I'm going to college soon, so i'll need you to pay me back" and again she agreed. So I'd buy groceries, outfits for her child, and other random things.

Well over time, she's borrowed and borrowed and borrowed some more until I told her I can't help her financially anymore. I was loaning her nearly 200 to 300 dollars a week I then told her that I needed to start seeing the money back - She agreed to pay it back.

She has been working at a different hospital now for about a month, and I've yet to see any of the money coming back. She should have paychecks rolling in. On top of working again, she told me her tax returns came back in and she had enough money to pay me back (on record)

I got very uncomfortable with the amount of money she owes me and shut it down. The amount was a little over 4,000 dollars.

I recorded a few conversations of us talking about the money situation and have her on record saying "I WILL PAY YOU BACK WHEN MY TAX RETURNS COME IN. ONE WAY OR ANOTHER I'LL PAY YOU BACK" In addition to that statement, i asked her "Do you know how much money you owe me now?" to which she responded (on record) "Yeah about $4,000 dollars"

I also pulled up my online banking records to show all the money transactions that have been made that were drawn from an ATM (i rarely ever use ATM's and up until i started dating her NEVER used an ATM from her city.)

At this point, I am only with this girl in efforts to get my money back. In addition to the borrowed money, I've found out a few other things that she's been up to that made me decide to end the relationship. I still care for her, but realize now that I can never pursue a future with her.

regardless....Is there any way I can use these 2 records to use against her in court if she doesn't pay me back? Or is there any advice you could give me as to how to prove she owes me this money should I need to take her to court?

  • Serious girlfriend drug/money problems! HELP!?

This is a very serious problem with my relationship and money. I need serious advice please...

Ive been dating a girl for quite a while now. Things have been a little rocky because she's been borrowing money little by little from me since the beginning and promises to pay me back when her tax return comes. At this point she owes me about 4000 dollars. she is very secretive of what she spends the money on. She's told me stories that don't add up on many different occasions and has flat out lied to my face when I knew already. I've thought about calling her out on it several times. This makes a huge trust issue. Last night we went to a bar and on the drive home she left her phone in my car. This morning when I went to work, the phone constantly was ringing and beeping so I opened it. Inside was about 50 texts messages from 2 other guys.(one is the father of her child) Anyway, I read into it a little more and found out that she is cheating on me with this guy or plans to cheat on me with him. To make matters worse, i also found out that she is doing drugs...bad drugs. Obviously she is going to get dumped by me because now I know the truth and I'm not even upset about it. I just want her gone. I want to leave her clearly. The problem now is, I want the money back that she "borrowed" but can't figure out how I'm going to do it.

Should I play it off like I'm still clueless about things and start getting bits and chunks of money back until I'm satisfied I got enough back? Or should I tell her I know EVERYTHING and then explain that I'm NOT going to make it a big issue, but im leaving her and need the money back. Should I go to the police about it right away and explain everything to them and have the police deal with it? ORRRR do I tell her i found out about everything, and will go to the police about it if I don't get my money back (this last option seems too dangerous because now I see how she is and don't know if she will send somebody to hurt me)

    Somebody please help me.... please...

  • Netflix is over-billing me?

    Hello,

I'm a customer of Netflix, and after having contacted their customer service, I'm still not getting a clear answer. Here is the issue:

I only signed up for the instant streaming on my PS3 for 7.99 a month. Works perfectly (aside from when they do updates to the movies)

I get billed once a month (on the 12th day) for a total of $8.43 after taxes - FINE HOWEVER - I'm also charged again about 10 days later for $16.86 which is double the amount I have already paid. After noticing the problem, I went back in my billing statements from my bank and realized this has been going on for nearly 6 months!!!

I checked my billing history on the netflix website and it only shows the billings for $8.43 one time a month. Clearly there is some kind of foul up! Not only am I paying 8.43 for my account, but I'm also paying 16.86 IN ADDITION to what I've already paid for a total of $25.29!!!!

The customer service representative I spoke to said something like "We show no record of any other charges excluding the monthly fees." Yet it's clearly being drawn out of my account.

WHAT SHOULD I DO!? I want to continue my use of Netflix, but I can't get them to understand that they are over-billing me for my subscription!

  • Am I in the Friendzone, or does she like me?

I've known this woman for about 3 years now. We've always gotten along very well. We've gone out to bars, and parties together (and with other friends). I've always thought she was very attractive - the kind i could see myself dating, but I was in a relationship with somebody else (as was she). Well I just ended my relationship about 2 months ago with my ex. About a week later - this friend of mine ends her relationship with her guy. Since we both were in the same situation, we kinda talked each other through things to try to help each other out. Over the last 2 weeks, I've started to think that she may like me more than she used to in the past. Here are my reasons why:

    1. She and I talk a lot more than ever before (in person, online, texts)

    2. She's told me things like "You're such a great guy" or when I broke up with my ex "It's her loss"

    3. Every time she's at work (she's a bartender) and she's having a slow night, she asks me to come down and keep her company - we end up talking til bar close.

    4. There have been very subtle flirts thrown at me, but I just kind of brush them aside....(stupidly)

    5. she's become more "touchy" (like grabs my arm when talking to me about certain things)

    6. Intentionally talks to me about her kids - like she wants me to be interested in them???

and maybe a few other things I just can't think of right now....

Like I said before, we've always just considered each other "just friends" but lately I feel like she's sending me a "flirty" vibe..... Is that what's happening?

  • I fell in love with my close "GIRL" friend...NOW WHAT!?!??!!?!?

Alright here's the deal. I've known this girl for about 3 years now and we always have a really fun time when we're around each other. We've openly given really nice compliments to each other like (me to her) "There needs to be more women out there like you." and (her to me) "You're one of the greatest guys I know."......and so on....

Well we both recently became single, and naturally, we helped each other with our breakups. The more I talked with her over the last 2 months, I noticed I began to miss not being around her. I catch myself thinking about her all the time, and even DREAMING about her... We also have been texting/talking/seeing each other a LOT more then ever before..... I think I'm falling for her..

OBVIOUSLY there is a huge problem here... We consider each other to be 'really close friends' type thing (and i've always thought the same) ...until now...

What should I do?!!?!? Tell her how I've been feeling and potentially ruin a great friendship? OR

Hide my feelings for her and continue just being her friend, while knowing I like her more than that!?!?!?

  • Should I tell her I like her?

To begin with, I'd like to quickly describe my situation.

ME: 24 yrs old, recently broke off from a relationship of 4 years 2 months ago, BUT like another girl,

Here's the issue. I've been friends with this one girl for about 3 years (my ex knew about her, but at the time we were just friends) She's 25 years old, BEAUTIFUL, down to earth, in my opinion someone I would love to date, has 2 kids (little worried about this, not good w/ kids as i've not been around them much - but not objective to it) but she ALSO recently broke up with her ex (father of kids) about 2 months ago.

Anyway, this girl and I talk a quite frequently: Texts, hanging out, online, etc.... and I've recently began to start liking her more than I did before. She is always so nice to me and seems genuinely interested in our time together...but also has a lot of drama/baggage to deal with as well. Like I said earlier, I consider us to be really close friends, and she's said the same. Things like "you're such a great guy." and when I broke up with my ex she said "Wow...HER LOSS!!" and so on..

Here's my problem.... Do I tell her about how I am feeling for her and potentially ruin a very cool friend status? Or do I go for it anyway and possibly become this girls new man?

  • My ex is going to be hurt by her new boyfriend?

After dating a girl for 4 years, we recently broke up. It wasn't the best breakup - but also not a terrible one. About ONE MONTH has passed and I see now that she is with a new guy fresh out of high school - she is 21. I still care for her but know that we will never be together again. When I heard she was with this new guy, I was mad of course because we broke up 1 month ago after having spent 4 years together (kind of a slap in the face in my opinion). Anyway, I was getting text messages from all our friends and family members who know this new guy and they all say the same thing "This guy is an idiot" "he's just looking to have sex with her and then ditch her" "I've never liked this guy" "I can't believe she is dating THAT guy" and so on... Well anyway, I really can't pass judgement on the guy because I don't know him at all. Like i said earlier, I care for her still (who wouldn't after spending 4 years of your life with them) and I don't want to see her get hurt by this guy. I really want to call her and say something like "Everyone that knows him, says he's going to hurt you, why are you with him". Of course this presents a problem because - I'm the EX.... At the same time, I feel like i need to say or do something. What should I do?!

I've always been intrigued by the photos of "ghosts" online. Many of them are fake, but others are authentic (or so they say). I want to snap some pictures at my church's cemetery where many of my family members are buried to see if I can capture anything good.

Are there any tips you can give on ...."attract spirits" for photographs and/or ways to capture them on camera?
