My old roommate moved out November 22nd, when can I get rid of the stuff he left?
My roommate moved out November 22nd and left behind a bicycle that he wanted to take, I have tried setting up several days for him to come by and get it but something always comes up for him and he has to cancel the plan. He has come several times for mail or other smaller things that he forgot, but never for the bicycle and never when I actually see him face to face. Today he sent me a text message saying he stopped by and took some mail that belonged to him, but I became agitated that he didn't tell me he was coming so that I could give him the bicycle. Now he says that he is busy all week and he wants me to hold it to around the middle of January when he moves into a more permanent place. I do not want to do this and I shouldn't have to. We have no written agreement or even a verbal agreement that I will hold it for him. How long do I have to wait before I can tell him that I just want to throw it out and stop talking to him? I'm not going to sell it or give it away, I will just dispose of it. I live in Buffalo, New York if anyone knows any links to property laws or leasing agreements. I was his subtenant but he moved out and I became the tenant of the landlord. Any ideas? He knows that I do not want to hold it any longer but I am afraid he is waiting for me to do something so that he has legal action.
He no longer has keys to the apartment, his security deposit was refunded and his lease ended December 1st. I'm just looking for concrete support that I don't have to deal with him anymore.
4 AnswersLaw & Ethics9 years agoWhy do people tell others to use google, while on yahoo?
Very often, people tell others to google things, and they always refer to google while being on answers.yahoo.com. Why not just use the yahoo search engine? This isnt answers.google.com, or is it?
4 AnswersYahoo Answers1 decade agoIs there anyway to decrease latency and ping while living in buffalo state dorms.?
I just moved to live on campus at buffalo state, and the dorm room internet may as well be dial-up. We were told we would have wireless but they then changed their mind, and these CAT3 cables cannot support a dorm full of computers. Any way to increase my Internets performance? I am using a Dell XPS: 4gigs of memory, 8800 GT, quad core processor, and was using a belkin wireless usb adapter, i am now using the in-motherboard ethernet connection.
