Has Gerald Celente ever been wrong?
1 AnswerCurrent Events1 decade agoGetting ready for prom and needing advice?
I am currently helping my oldest get ready for prom. Since I never went to one, Im feeling like I might be leaving something out of the preparation here. Like I know she needs tickets, dress, shoes, accesories, they have the limo lined up. Im wondering, is it tradition for her to buy her date a guy version of a corsage for the tux? How much and when does she tip the limo driver? What am i not even thinking of in the way of etiquette and tradition and practical matters here? Thanks for any advice.
3 AnswersSingles & Dating1 decade agoIs there such a thing as harmless stalking? Opinions, experiences wanted please?
Have a friend, she had a guy she knows online show up where she was on vacation with her family. She KNEW it was him, didnt approach him, he denied every being there. Its a very unlikely spot, not a typical tourist place where someone would go terribly out of the way to get to. It is also half a country away from where he lives. Just unlikely he would happen to be there. He hasnt approached or harmed her. Just been around. Opinions please.

4 AnswersOther - Society & Culture1 decade agoDo you think he is cheating or am I crazy?
Relates to my prior question. Hubby was looking at personal ads online. We have argued about it. He thinks it is no biggy. But Im feeling hurt and pis**ed off. Obviously I think he was looking to cheat. How do I get over it? Should I get over it? What do I do?
25 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoIs looking through personal ads ok for married people?
My husband thinks that its harmless amusement to browse local personal ads ( women seeking men). My opinion is that why look unless you are looking for something? Whats everyone else think?
8 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoWas I right to be upset about this? Opinions please.?
This is in relation to a previous question I posted, only now with more details. Details: Hubby climbed off the roof while in the process of removing lights, goes to the fence to talk to the female neighbor who it turns out he knows from years ago. The part that gets me ruffled is that he talked to her for one full hour ( knowing that I had errands to run and he and I were taking turns watching the kiddo). And even crazier is that he had to stand on the wooden fence rail ( about one inch wide) to see over the 7 foot fence to see her to talk to her. So he is basicly clinging to a wooden fence for an hour to see/talk to this woman. I was like thinking what the hel* is she saying that is so friggin interesting? Is she naked over there? Am I crazy to be mad at him or to get a bad vibe off of this?
14 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoAm I right to be concerned here?
Heres the situation: Hubby goes outside to remove lights from the roof, sees neighbor, climbs down from the roof and proceeds to chit-chat with her for one hour. (This female neighbor is not unattractive and her hubby is gone a lot. She is also a former acquintance of his ( nothing romantic at that time) from about 10 years ago, they never kept in touch but she recently moved next door ) Hubby told me she did most the talking etc. SO Am I wrong to get a bad vibe off of this?

I will be attending a winter party where pizza will be the main menu item. What dessert and wine would go well with pizza? Something inexpensive obviously :)
3 AnswersEntertaining1 decade agoReWritable CD vs. DVD-R --Read only file? What is the difference? Best for photo storage?
What is the diff between a cd-rw ( re-writable cd) and a dvd-r ?
I have both and want to save photos. Which would be better, or is there something even better that is neither of these. I have saved some to the dvd-r, tried to delete them, and a thing popped up saying it was a read-only file and I couldnt delete. What does that mean? help.
4 AnswersSoftware1 decade agoBest way to back-up photos? USB OR dvd?
Im trying to save a lot of pics in case my computer crashes. ( like 1000's) Which is better, a usb thing or a dvd? This would be for long term and stored away. Any tips welcome.
2 AnswersAdd-ons1 decade agoPlease tell me I am not crazy. I say he is passive-aggressive.?
Hubby comes in last night, first thing he says is " I talked to your buddy ____ today". (The person he talked to is NOT my buddy, in fact is HIS buddy, someone who he knows I dont like very much and who has been the central figure in past marital arguments). I told hubby that he was taking a sarcastic passive/aggresive jab at me with the comment. His response was "oh I was just being silly". SILLY? He sounded fake and used an "aww shucks" sord of tone when he said it. Opinions ?
9 AnswersMarriage & Divorce1 decade agoWhat are some possible emergencies that would require evacuation or sheltering in place?
I live in an area that is extremely unlikely to be hit by floods, hurricanes or wildfires. What are some other reasons that would require emergency preparedness or evacuation. Asking because it may influence how I prepare for the "just in case". Looking for the obvious I may have missed as well as more far-fetched-never-thought-of-that before type stuff. Possible events and stuff to stash away is helpful. Also what are some good survivalist/preparedness websites?

I did not go to college myself, and feel pretty clueless about what I need to do to get my kiddo there. She is a Jr. in High School right now. I would love to hear advice from people who have "been there, done that". Some helpful hints, websites, books, anything at all. Thanks in advance. :)

5 AnswersFamily1 decade agoHow long can you keep your kids on your Insurance?
What happens when a kid turns 18 as far as health insurance goes? Can you keep the kid on until they get a full time job ( like even after college)? Does it vary from company to company or is there a standard?
22 AnswersInsurance1 decade agoShould I leave the room? Need opinions on WHY they do this?
The following is something that happens on a regular basis with a couple that hubby and I are friendly with. The four of us ( couple, hubby and I) will be visiting in the kitchen for example. Hubby will leave the room to get something, and as soon as he leaves, the guy ( guy friend in other couple) will start kissing and hugging and groping around on his wife like they are suddenly alone ( I am still there! ) in the room. Its like all extreme pda all of a sudden and I feel uncomfortable like I should leave the room or something. Should I leave the room, like pretend to go fetch something, or make "ahem" noises, or continue to stand there uncomfortabley. Its odd, it happens very regularly ( the guy is a lifelong friends of my hubbys so I dont want to just be rude). And as soon as hubby comes back, they are all normal again. WTH? Why do they do this when he leaves, stop when he returns, act like Im not there even. Why do they do this? 3'some theory isnt likely here. Any ideas?
