There were three main characters, a guy and a woman who reminds me of Denise Van Outen (its NOT her I've checked) and another guy called 'Boil' or 'Boyle'. Boil wore a parka and had boils he had a stereotypical trainspotter look about him. in one episode they had lucozade drips when they were ill. thats all i remember, oh and i think it was on channel 4.

a scientist had a man in confinement as part of a time experiment, and the man was jumping around shouting and screaming. Two other men came in to the lab to question the scientist (on an unrelated matter), during which one of the men approached the confined man, who promptly stopped jumping and shouting and screaming. when the two men left one says to the other what did you do to stop him shouting, and other answers i gave him my watch.
