  • What kind of birth control did you use after having your first child?

I am 25 and had my first 2 weeks ago. I am considering the implanon arm implant as a birth control method (which is a semi long term method, approx 2 years). What did you use and would you have chosen differently? Any comments on implanon?

  • Question about newborn poop...?

My 10 day old is gassy all the time and usually expels a little bit of poop with his flatulence. Nearly every diaper has a little bit of poop in it. The color and consistency seem right for a breastfed baby, its just he always has a bit of poo in his diaper, and he is getting diaper rash on his butt. Ive been using ointment, but I'm wondering if this poop habit is normal.

  • Question about breastfeeding...?

My son was born Monday and I began to breastfeed him that evening. He seemed to be doing fine, so I thought, but yesterday when my nipples became cracked and nearly bleeding I found out that he was not latching on properly. Last night I nursed him for an almost an hour and he was still hungry and I just couldn't do it anymore- it was excruciating. I gave him some formula and proceeded to the next time I fed him as well. The time following that I was going to try the breast again and he wouldn't take it and still won't. My breasts are no longer producing any liquid at all, and my milk never came in. What do I do? I can't get ahold of my lactation specialist consultant.

  • I'm being induced on Sunday. Any advice or suggestions?

My due date is September 18th (Thursday), but the baby is big so they're gonna induce me Sunday evening. They said I'll have to take stuff to thin my cervix and then they'll give me pitocin.

  • When will my wedding rings fit me again?

I had to quit wearing them sometime in my 7th month because they became too tight to take off and if I left them on overnight they were cutting off the circulation in my finger. Anyway, I'm wondering did they get so tight from only swelling, which has gotten progressively worse in my last trimester, or is it because I've gained 65 pounds? I really wanna wear my rings after I have the baby, but I'm afraid some of the reason they don't fit is the weight gain. What do you think?

BTW- I have noticed a significant difference in the way people react to a pregnancy when they think you are married and when they think you aren't. Usually this difference is subtle and its nonverbal, but it's ridiculous. (just wanted to point that out)

  • Does this bother you?

It pisses me off that my husband pays about $600 dollars every 2 weeks in taxes just so people can continue to get pregnant and have the government support them. Why can't they get jobs and insurance like me and my husband. We have to pay for our insurance, but we also get to pay for theirs. yay.

  • So, water flooded my car....?

My little sister has been using my eclipse for the past month or so, and she lives in Alexandria, Louisiana. Well, apparently it flooded last night and the water level at her house was above the back license plate of the car. I don't know if you're familiar with the 97 model eclipse- well, while it is quite low to the ground, the back license plate is rather high. She said her flip flops are floating in the back seat. Anyway, I'm wondering what we've gotta do to get the water outta the carpet and seats once it resides. I'm afraid if we just let it dry it'll mold. Any suggestions?

  • Just found out I'm positive for group b strep...?

but everything I've found online seems to say things should be fine so long as I am administered antibiotics at the time of delivery. I'm still worried though. Has anyone else successfully given birth to a healthy baby while a carrier for group b strep? Any suggestions, advice?

  • Is it likely my baby will turn?

He was head down very early for at least 2 months, then he turned sideways and has remained that way. The doctor has told me he is a big baby. I'm scared he won't turn back head down. What are your experiences?

  • What color do you think our sons hair will be?

I have brown that shows natural red highlights in the sun. My husband is a natural blonde- very blonde, but he had strawberry blonde hair when he was a baby. Do you think we will have a brunette or a red head? (The maternal grandparents are both brunette and paternal grandparents are one brunette one blonde)

  • This is getting ridiculous...?

I've gained 3 pounds in the past week. I've gained 50 so far. I've tried eating healthier, and only put on more weight. Maybe I should just eat chocolate cake all day every day. Can anybody sympathize with being a hippo, whale, manatee- whatever you wanna call my fat a**??

  • Can anybody fix this code?

It's for my myspace profile and everything is perfect except for the text in my 'interests' box. The text is invisible (the background is black, so maybe so is the text?) but when you run the mouse over it the words are in red and underlined as if they are links. The text is supposed to be pink. The punctuation appears. Here is a link to my myspace: http://www.myspace.com/courtneytx

    Here's the code:

  • This may be tmi- but it's driving me crazy!

I can't go to the bathroom- you know what i mean. I've become rather constipated in the past few days, and I'm afraid to push and strain, lest I- I dunno- break my water or push the baby into the birth canal or something. Am I being silly? I've taken a softener, but I don't think it's going to be very effective. Is it okay to strain? Is there anything else I can do? BTW- im 34 weeks

  • What's going on here?

Last night I had a dream for the second time- but it may not have been a dream, I was either barely awake or dreaming- I felt as though I was awake. Anyway what happened was the baby was kicking a lot and he likes to push out on various areas of my tummy, well he pushed out his foot and held it there and I held it in my hand for a few minutes. Is this even possible or am I dreaming? I really felt like I was holding his foot- and this is the second time its happened. What do you think?
