  • I Have A Laptop Question?

Hey all! I'm not really computer savvy, but am looking into buying a laptop. A friend of mine pointed this one out, but I'm not sure.

    http://www.qvc.com/qic/qvcapp.aspx/view.2/app.deta...

I know I want to be able to burn my home movies onto a disc, be able to upload pictures from my SD card, and be able to connect to the internet both at home and wireless. Now, I think, but am not sure, that I will need a wireless router with this one and that is ok. My mom has one that she is giving me. I am just mainly wanting to use this to take on vacations and to various events. I am not interested in gaming or anything like that. Would this be a good laptop? If not, could anyone suggest one? Thank you for any help you can give me!!!

  • Setting up air pump/tubing in aquarium??

I have a question. I have a air pump and some of the plastic tubing in my aquarium right not. Well, the plastic tubing has hardened and just will not stay in place. So I am thinking of going and purchasing some of the silicon airline tubing. I have a treasure chest and a sunken ship in the aquarium, but they do not have the hookup (airstone). So, I just put the tubes let the air come out of the end. Do I have to have an airstone? I haven't up until now and the bubbles are big. What do I need to purchase when I go to the pet store? Thanks!

  • Help! Freshwater Aquarium Questions?

Ok, I've kept a freshwater aquarium in the past and withing the past 3 months I set up a new one. Well, everything was going just fine and about after 2 months, I added a pecostamus fish. I had had one before and loved it. It helped to keep my tank clean. Well, I went in there this morning to find it belly up! I was shocked! I've never had a fish to die that quick! I've had it about 2 weeks. I've always had great luck with fish. So, I tested the water, as I do every week, and the ammonia was sky high! I know it will raise when you have one to die. But for some reason, the aquarium, especially the gravel is filthy! It looks awful and I feel so bad for the fish I have in there. I have 3 tetra's in now. How can I clean the tank and the gravel and get my leval's back to norm? I mean, the gravel is really bad! I've never had this happen. What's up???? Please help me! "_

  • Adding fish to new aquarium question....?

Hey everyone! I have a question. I have recently got my fish tank started back up. I had the water perfect and had stayed that way for over 2 weeks. So I went to Petsmart today and got some new fish. I only got three. They are all tetra's. They've been in a few hours, but I'm not sure about them. One is swimming around the tank rapidly and keeps bumping up against the sides. It is like he is trying to get out or something. One stays near the top right next to the heater, and the other stays very still in the corner of the tank where the heater is as well. I have checked the temp and it is fine. Also, I will not be testing the water until tomorrow since that is what they told me to do. Should I be worried? It's been so long since I had fish and I don't quite remember. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thank you! :)

  • Air filter in aquarium?

Hello. I am setting up a new freshwater 10 gallon tank. I have kept fish before, bu this is the first time I've used an air pump. I have a sunken ship and a treasure chest and wanted the bubble's coming up out of them for decoration. Everything seems to be going well, but I had a question. How fast should the bubbles be coming out? The guy at the pet store suggested the thing with the knobs so that I can control airflow, but it seems to me I can't really minimize the air flow. It's like if I turn one, the other automatically shoots all the air through one tube and not the other. I have finally figured out how to get the water to come out of both, but I was concerned if it was too fast and might stress out the fish I'm putting in this weekend. Any advice?

Sorry this post was so long! :)

  • Decorating paint cans?

Hello everyone. I have noticed that a lot of crafters are decorating paint cans and giving them as gifts. How do you do this? I have found where I can order the empty paint can, but how do you know what materials you will need? How do you measure if you are wanting to do it with scrapbook paper? And how do you work around the actual place where the handle is attached? I hope some one on here will know what I mean. I have seen these and would really like to give it a shot. Thanks in advance for any help.

  • No periods?

Ok, I started my period in sixth grade and had about two and then they stopped. I finally had to be put on birth control pills in ninth grade to get them to regulate. Well, this worked and I would have them. Well I have been off of the pill for about two years now and in that time I have had maybe 2 periods. My hubby and I want to start a family and I just don't know what to do. Can I still get pregnant or will I have to be put on some other medication to make me have a period? Thanks for any input. God Bless! :)

  • Question about getting pregnant?

Hey everybody! I have a question. I am 23 years old and my husband of five years and I are considering starting a family. I got my period when I was about 13 and had maybe two and then they stopped all together. When I reached ninth grade and still hadn't had periods regularly I was put on the pill. As long as I stayed on it, I would have a period regularly. I have been off of the pill for about two years now and have had maybe two periods. I have recently moved and have been looking around for a new gyno. My question is, does anyone else have or know of anyone who has this problem? I really want to have a family and I don't know what to do. I have always heard that I will be put on some type of meds to help regulate my periods in order to concieve. Has anyone ever heard of this? Thank you in advance for any help you can give. God Bless!

  • Help!! I want to become a home ec teacher!!!?

I am 23 & have been in and out of college since graduating from high school. I first majored in nursing & then changed to pre-elementary education. I was kind of pushed into that decision by family. I ended up graduating with my associates degree in pre-elementary education & started at a University to finish. Well, once I got into the course work & going out into the field, I knew right away that I was not happy, so I left after 1 semester. I then took some time off & applied for a nursing program at my local community college to get my parents off my back. Well I got in the first try. I made straight A's & loved the course work, but I loathed going to the hospital & doing the hands on so I left again. I am now considering going back to school & I want to fulfill my dream of being a home economics (family & consumer sciences) teacher. My question is, are any of you in this field & do you like it? What classes do I need to take & how long did it take you to get your degree? :)

  • Psoriasis question?

Hello to you all! I have had psoriasis for about 2 years now and have tried several gp's and dermatologists for help. I have been on all types of creams. A few of the steroidal creams that I have used have cleared it up with frequent use, but then it always returns and if I use the same cream it fails to work. I recently lost my insurance and have been trying some home rememdies. I always get an oat bath twice a day and use aloe vera gel and aloe vera lotion after each bath. It helps keep the itching and flaking away, but the redness persists. Anyways, I read some where on here that Turmeric helps some sufferers. Has anyone tried this spice to help and if you did, how long did you have to take it before you saw any relief? Also, what do you do at home to help your psoriasis? Also, what med's have worked best for you, perscription or non-perscription? Thank you so much in advance! God Bless! :)
