I have found a sewing machine on gumtree for just £25, but I am completely new to dressmaking and looking to take it up as a hobby and I have no idea if it is good or not.

I have a Jack Russel Terrier and have had him for about 7 years (he is 8) but over the last year or so he has started to chase his tail whenever he is put into a stressful situation. This is usually when we have young children or babies in the house.

He doesn't chase it playfully, he chases it quite aggressively, even causing him to bump into things and eventually collapsing when he is tired.

Overall, he is a very obedient and lovely dogs, well trained and even does sereal tricks, so this is very strange behaviour! He very rarely barks (only when someone is at the door) but when he chases his tail he gets axaughsted, pants and sometimes even makes high pitched little whines and squeeks.

Does anyone know how I can relax him or make him stop this behaviour?

Extra information: He is walked regularly and there are 5 of us in the house that play with him a lot and do give him lots of attention and love! Also, his tail is docked, meaning he can never actually reach his tail (This was done by his previous owner soon after he was born we presume. Also, this tail chasing is only recent, so we presume this is unrelated)

Basically, I am at a university far from home and I have left my birth control pills at university (I am back home for just over a week so will be back in 4 days)

Would it be safe to leave a gap of 10 days rather than 7? (As I was on my third pill-free day when I left University.

I know it would probably mean I am not protected from pregnancy but will it mess up my cycle? As in, would I get my next period early, or spot?

It has been very difficult as it has been the four day bank holiday!

Would be great to get some feedback just for my peace of mind! Thank you!

in a couple of hours a friend is coming over to take pictures of me for his art project. the only problem is, i need to be dressed and pose like a ballerina. i have had Absolutely no training!

are there any really simple poses that i can pull off for his photos?

this project is vital to his qualification so help would be greatly appreciated!

Over the past year or so I have been slightly focused on the cleanliness of my hands...well its not so much my hands but I have an absolute phobia of when anybody bites their fingernails. I absolutely hate it. Its getting to the point where I will get quite upset if I see someone do it such as in public.

Does anybody have any good websites where I can find out what to do or even just have some reassurance of what this is?

It has been really difficult even typing this and this is why I cant tell anyone in ‘the real world’ purely because its embarrassing.

Also I know this isn’t a ‘serious’ problem but I don’t want any comments of abuse for this...

what exactly does a wireless usb dongle do? i'm thinking about buying a laptop and i need wireless internet on it.

if i buy a simple usb dongle for say £10 per month does it...

work in all areas?

do i need to be near a certain wireless 'field'?

work straight away when plugged in?

have a limit to how long you can spend on the web?

argh stressed out pleeeeease help!

does anybody know a reliable website where i can find drum tabs for such bands as 'the kooks'? i have been looking for days and most web pages only use guitar and bass tabs or have pop-ups giving viruses to my computer. help!!
