  • need some physics help?

a construction worker is helping his friend by throwing supplies and tools to him from ground level to the second level. The height that he must throw the tools is 11.7 meters up,

what minimum velocity is necessary for the tools he throws to reach his friend?

if he throws them at that minimum velocity, how much time will the materials spend in the air before his friend catches them?

if he instead wants the tools to spend exactly 3.7 seconds flying though the air, with what velocity should he throw them?

how fast should he throw them if he wants them to be traveling 6.2 m/s when his friend catches them?

I got 15.1 m/s on the first one and 1.54 seconds on the second, if I got them wrong can you show me how.

I don't necessarily want the answers, I just wanna know how to get to them step by step.

  • a rocket has a net acceleration of 27.6 m/s2 during the 2.2 seconds that its motor burns...?

what is its velocity when the motor burns out? I got 60.72 ms, if its not right can you explains please.

how high off the ground is it when the motors burn out? I got 66.79 m

what total height will it reach? I don't need the answer as much as the actual explanation

what total time does it take to reach that height? again I would much rather have an explanation on what to do than the actual answer.
