Yesterday, my family got a new modem (and password), but my phone (a T-Mobile Prism) will not connect to wifi. No one else is having trouble connecting, so I guess it's either my phone or my room has crappy reception. I've entered in the correct password, and the phone will say "connecting" and "authenticating", but then it will say "disabled" and at the top, "disconnected". It is secured by WPA, if that helps. I've tried moving to a different room, and turning the wifi on and off, but it still won't connect. It has no trouble connecting to other nearby households.

Hi I'm currently 18 (turning 19 in June) and will be a sophomore in college in August. Currently, I live with my parents, but it is becoming harder and harder to stay at home, and I am planning to move out (probably into my car) in a couple of months for the school year. My question is, how to I declare myself independent for next year's FAFSA and taxes? I have a part-time job, I'm a full time student, and I will not be accepting any money or benefits like health insurance from my parents (I bought my car, and I pay the insurance. My job also has health insurance for hourly employees). I'm pretty sure being homeless qualifies you for independent status. How do I complete next year's FAFSA as an independent student?

I am looking for my first (used) car from a private seller, and I would like to be able to drive it home, so will I have to buy insurance for it before I buy it? And will I have to own the deed before I get the insurance?

I'm majoring in Biology, but I can't decide on whether to become a physical therapist or an osteopathic physician. I really want to be a physician, but I also want to have a family, and if go down the medical route, by the time I'll have the time and money to have a family, I'll be too old (in case anyone was wondering, I'm a woman, so fertility is a factor). Should I become a physician or play it safe with physical therapy?

I'm not a gamer, an engineering student, or graphic design student; I mainly want one to do homework anywhere, type papers, and get on facebook and maybe YouTube. It has to be light, fast, and from a reputable company. I'm not too worried about battery life, since I'll mainly be using it in places that have outlets. I'm not picky, I'm just confused b/c I've been on many different blogs about the best laptop, and the advice is very contradictory (people seem to hate Dell and HP). I'm leaning towards Lenovo.

I work at Chuck E. Cheese's and I have an interview for another job, but I won't quit CEC until I have another job. If I do decide to quit, will I have to give my manager a two weeks notice, or just call them and say I quit? If I give a two weeks notice, can they just fire me? I have never quit a job before.
