  • Car Door Sensor Messed up...Dome light won't shut off!!?

No matter how hard we slam it, or how gentle, my truck door sensor is messed up Because of this, the dome light is on, draining my battery as we speak =(

There is no debris or anything else impeding the door. It could be a small mechanism problem, but I'm thinking it's the sensor...anyone know how I could disable the dome light-door sensor connection? Pull a fuse maybe?? Help!!

    It's a 2000 Ford Excursion.

  • Can you have a cosigner on a mortgage?

I am fearful that I do not have good enough credit to obtain a mortgage. If my father would do so, could he cosign for me, even if he would not be residing in the home? I live in NH, if that is relevent.

  • When I use 4-WD on highway, truck runs crappy after!?

This is the third time this has happened. (you'd think I'd learn...)

All three situations have gone like this:

    Snowy road

    Going at least 40-45 mph

    Four Wheel Drive is ON

Then I shut it off when I feel I no longer need it, and suddenly a loud clanging from the undercarriage! HOWEVER I believe that this is the exhaust pipes clanking around, because we are missing an exhaust clamp.

ALSO, and more importantly, after I've shut the FWD off, I can no longer go over about 35-40 mph, because the truck starts shaking. After a couple of days sitting in the driveway, I'll start it up again and it will run fine!

People have suggested that it's ice and snow underneath getting all clogged up, but how come I never have this problem until I used the 4wd on a highway??

    Any ideas????

It's a 2000 Ford Excursion, if that matters.

    Thanks for your help!!

  • Truck running funny! HELP!?

    I have a 2000 Ford Excursion V10

It's been a little over 3k miles since my last oil change.

The engine idles perfectly fine sometimes, and then other times it's just awful. It sounds like it's stuttering. Then when I have it in drive, stopped at a light, it makes a metal-knocking sound. (Like the pistons are going crazy?)

I checked the oil, and it's fine...if not a little overfilled....would that mess it up?

My engine coolant also looks low...how about that?

If more info is needed, just ask! Thank you so much!

  • What would a 13 yr. old girl like for Christmas?

A woman at work had her husband just abandon her and her two children, ages 9 and 13. A couple of us are buying gifts for the kids... I have some ideas for the 9 yr. old boy, but what do 13 year old girls like these days? I have absolutely no information about her other than her age, and don't want to ask the mother what the little girl would like, for fear that she'd be embarrassed about her situation...we're not really supposed to even know about the husband leaving! Help!!

  • How to decorate screened-in porch?

The house I am renting has a really cute screened-in porch. It's square, with painted gray wood floor. The problem is, you have to walk through it to get to the front door, so putting a patio table in the middle is a no-go.

What can I do (furniture, etc.) to make it look nice and inviting, not just like a walk-through, but also make it functional?
