I have a recipe that calls for soaking cucumbers for two to eight hours before pickling; however to I cut them into spears first, or soak them whole and then cut into spears? Also, I plan on canning in a water bath, but I do not have a canning rack...is there anything I can use as a "home made" rack? Thanks!

I have six dogs (ages 10 years,8 years,5 years,4 years,3.5 years, and 8 months). Five boys and one girl (don't think that would matter for this, as well as the fact they're all spayed and neutered). From oldest to youngest we have a Beagle/Basset mix, a Shepherd/Husky mix, a Lab/Golden Retriever mix, a Pit/Boxer mix, a Border Collie, and a Bloodhound/Ridgeback mix. I really want to start them on a raw food diet, but am not finding much on line about how to start, and recipes. I know there are a lot of raw food advocates on here and I was wondering where to begin.

We're on my last round of Clomid (With the V patch) and my doctor wants me to come in after my blood work is done to check for ovulation, to discuss the next step. My last cycle was with the Clomid 150mg, and they want me to do that again (which I'm currently on right now...). However, I'm pretty confident that the next step she'll want me to take is with the injections. Has anyone had success? Are there any questions I should think to ask?
