I'm looking at majoring in Film Writing/Directing and getting some sort of minor in business, but I'd really like to avoid the Calculus courses that this college's website says is required for a Bachelors degree in business. Do you generally still have to take the core courses for you minor as well, or just your major?

I have a lot of friends graduating and not a lot of money to spare. Along with a card, would it be tacky if I gave each of them a $5 Walmart or McDonalds gift card? If you guys know of any other common stores/restaurants with cheap gift card options that might be better, please mention them.

I tried to update the map on a TomTom One 130, and when I rebooted the GPS, it posted this message:

You cannot use this map on this device: USA_AND_CANADA

What can I do about this? I've tried to delete the map and put it on the device again and it still says that message.

I'm in the market for a new laptop and I'm looking for one that can at least adequately run games. Is a 512MB card enough? And for the larger laptops (i.e. 17inches) is it worth it to go larger and get a 1GB card?

In Kicking and Screaming, the chorus starts off with "So get down, and get off, let me show you what you'll be missing..." and in Talk is Cheap, Miley says she's p----d off at her boyfriend (that track also mentions that she wouldn't care if he choked on a cigarette). Do you think these are signs that Miley Cyrus is heading down the same path as Britney Spears? Also, do you think that the lyrics mentioned above are really racy or is that just me overreacting?

At the bottom of the screen where it lists the programs it's scanning, a lot of programs would have bizarre names and would have anything from the word "casino" to "XXX" to "Fake AntiSpyware"... how do I get these programs off my computer? The Spybot says they aren't any threat, but I say otherwise! HELP!!!

Question 1:

Would a computer-savvy 15-year-old be able to use it (even with having to read the manual and taking some time to figure the program out)? and

Question 2:

Does it only work with Internet Explorer? I know it says the pages will display on any browser, but will I have to work in IE at all? (I only ask because I don't use IE anymore since I get massive amounts of popups and nothing has worked to get rid of them, so I try to stay away from IE as much as I can.)

I get massive amounts of popups every time I accidentally use it. they keep coming up for 10-15 minutes after that. Now I have all the necessary popup blockers and have deleted cookies plenty of times, so salvaging IE is out of the question. But is there any way to just block the program from running? PLEASE HELP!!

It was going to be thrown away but I decided to keep it in case it could be useful. Now I'm pretty sure it wouldn't work with a lot of equipment today - it only has a floppy disk drive, no USB slots, and there isn't a Windows key on the keyboard, which makes me think it's pre-Windows 98. So where (if anywhere) can I get parts for it? I'm mainly seeking a power cord, and maybe a new battery if it needs one. Thanks!

I've manipulated a combination of photos in Print Shop and have them layered on top of one another... I want to save this as one picture (not as a print shop document). How do I do that while getting a high resolution picture? (I've already done this by taking a screen shot and cropping the picture in Microsoft Word, then hyperlinking it to a new file in My Pictures. I could then select it as my desktop picture, which was my original goal. But the reason I'm looking for another way is because the picture isn't as high resolution as it could be.)
