i was looking on ebay and there is a 20 inch 72W light for $40.. its got one 12000K bulb and one actinic bulb and two blue LED moon lights and the 3 different lights all have their own switch. it has mounting legs too. in my tank i just have some background plants and some dwarf mondo grass. im dosing API leafzone and have flourite gravel

im setting up a pico.. i have everything for it already and im just wondering.. can i use tap water with good quality dechlorinater. i use seachem marine/freshwater for all my planted freshwater tanks..

i have a 5w 50/50 lamp and a 25w desk lamp currently on the tank, which is being used for a freshwater planted tank at the moment. would this be enough light to grow some xenia and some zoas? thats really all i want in the tank.. but i mostly want xenia :)

I have a 1 gallon planted nano. It has a 5w 50/50 bulb and i also have a 20w lamp. is this too much light for a 1 gallon aquarium or is it fine?

i have a small 1 gallon tank with a 5w 50/50 lamp on it. right now im just using it to grow cuttings from my other tanks.. if i were to plant so glosso would it grow a nice carpet like i see in pictres or would it not look too good.. i know you have to trim it to get it to grow in a carpet.. also would dwarf baby tears work too?

i have a 1 gallon planted tank with a java moss wall and some floating plants and cuttings from my larger tank. there are no fish in it. if i keep my light on 24 hours a day will it help them grow faster?

ok so i have a pretty small angelfish..

1st question.. is it an altum because the top fin has a reddish tink to it and the rest is silver with black stripes...

2nd question.. are red eyes a good thing?

just recently its eyes started turning red.. does that mean its a wild type or what?

ok im a sophmore in HS and freshman year i ran a 52 second 400m. is that good?

i have 12 guppies, 11 of which are small and 5 are newborn fry. they have been swimming around but just today they started swimming up at the top of the tank right at the water line. is there somthing wrong with them or they just being normal?

ive had a VSD since birth

last night i was laying in bed and then all of a sudden this hude crushing pain hit me in my sternum and i couldnt breath and it made me ball up in pain. it lasted about 2 minutes and then went away but for about 2 weeks now i have been experiencing mild pains in my "heart area" if that makes sense. im finding it slightly hard to breath for the past 3-4 hours... what should i do?

ive had a VSD since birth and it was supposed to go away by the time i was 5.. it still hasnt gone away and just recently my chest has started hurting where my heart is and ive started to be able to see my chest move with my heart beat. like up and down with it. and last night i was laying down and it hurt so bad all of a sudden i couldnt breathe. should i let my parents know or should i see if it goes away?

i bought a 3 peie of driftwood made for hermit crabs.. is this ok if i put it my aquarium? i boiled it for half and hour and got alot of tannins out already

i have 2 guppies and a baby angelfish (quarter sized) in a 5 gallon eclipse hexagon tank. if i move the guppies into my 1 gallon planted will they be more likely to breed? they were alone in the hex for around 4 months and never bred and still havent and its now month 7. if they were moved into the planted tank, which houses dwarf baby tears as a carpet and a java moss wall on the back, would it be alright if i put them both in there and after they bred remove the male and after birth remove the female and leave the fry alone in there? i may also put some cherry or ghost shrimp in the tank

i have a 1 gallon aquarium that i just got and im going to plant it with HC and a java moss wall. the tank is 7x6.5x5 and i want to know where i can find driftwood that will fit into this. i dont care if it sticks out of the water a tiny bit like 1-3 inches or so. also if u dont recomend those then where can i find rocks to scape it with?

i have around 10-15 lbs of aragonite in a tank that has been set up for around 4 months. it currently has 2 cichlids in it that im getting rid of soon. i measured my pH and it is 6.8-7.0 (cant decide which color it is) and i was wondering if i can grow dwarf hair grass, java moss, dwarf baby tears, and some other easy plants in this tank with the aragonite

i have a 55 gallon tank with:

1 10 inch tire track eel

1 8 inch angelfish

1 4 inch rainbow shark

and 1 3 inch pleco

if i got say another large angel or some sort of large fish will my eel pick on it?

i just put in a 2-3 inch giant danio and it ate it almost instantly but it gets along fine with the other fish? is it just not wanting the heirarchy of the tank disturbed or somthing?

i have a 10 gallon aquarium that i plan to put plants into. can i put in those mini compact flourescent bulbs u can get from like lowes or home depot? they are 13w ea and they say they put out 100w of power

i have a 10 gallon tank with the hood built onto it... it has two 15w light bulb sockets in it..not sure what kind they are but they are the same kind that are throughout a house with the screw in part. anyways... so i have 2 15w light bulbs in it and i was wondering if 30w for a 10g was enough for plants like hair grass and dwarf baby tears and some others... like my lily i have growing in my other tank
