  • Ovulation Pain? Anyone else experienced this?

    Hey all

I have NEVER experienced ovulation pain in my life, hubby and I have been trying for 6 months to have baby number 2, well today I had severe pain in my lower left abdomen/pelvic area that lasted about 30 minutes, it has now subsided to a very dull ache....

Having never experienced anything like this before, does it sound like ovulation pain? My cycles aren't very regular anymore and I think I am around ovulation time, am about two weeks out from getting my period...

Just checking with anyone else who may have experienced this before? This is the only thing going on at the moment, I don't have any other symptoms..

Thanks in advance for your help and advice :)

  • Boy or Girl - what do you think :)?

    Hiya ladies

Hope you are all well. Here's my question...

when I had my Ultrasound to find out the sex, (hubby knows but I don't) the Ultrasound tech told him that she was 100% sure about what it is, there can be no mistaking.... Now there has been lots of speculation with other people I have told and they have all said, you're having a boy.

    what are your thoughts

I am not a believer in old wives tales, but I am interested in this because everyone has been so certain its a boy because of what the US tech said :) I think I am just a little excited because I would love a little boy :)

Just interested to hear what you think :)

  • Pains in lower abdomen - sharp 26 weeks pregnant?

    HI guys

I don't normally ask these questions but wondering if you have an ideas or experienced it yourselves..

I am 26 weeks pregnant and did a fair bit of housework last night, moving stuff around and cleaning, I have a feeling I have overdone it a bit as I am weary today. But what worries me is I am now having sharp pains in my lower abdomen, down to my vagina almost, feels a bit like a full bladder, but I have been several times to the loo. It hurts mostly to sit down and when I stand up.

Any ideas, are these growing pains or my body just telling me I did too much last night?

Many thanks in advance, always puts your mind at ease to hear of others experiences....

  • Breastfeeding.... Is it painful to start with in all cases?

    Hi ladies

Just wondering what your experiences are with breastfeeding, I have heard many women say it is painful in the beginning..... but then I have heard others say its because "they" are doing it wrong.

Is it painful for everyone to start with? I understand that your nipples will need to be conditioned and get used to their new job, but is pain just part and parcel of the whole breastfeeding experience??

I am very interested to hear what you all have to say about it.

    thanks!

  • 16 weeks and no weight gain...?

    Hi gals

I know this gets asked a lot, but I am currently 16 weeks pregnant and I haven't put on any weight, according to some websites I have looked at I should have gained about 4kgs (sorry I'm an aussie :), but I haven't, in fact I keep losing 500 grams, then putting it back on and losing it again and putting it back on etc.

I am not super worried, but just wondering what your thoughts are on this, I am happy that I am not getting huge, but I am also a bit skeptical because everything I read tells me I should be putting on weight :)

I am not a very slim person, but not overweight either, I have a bit of flab around my belly, but thats it really.

Thanks in advance for your time :)

  • Do you guys think this is normal? (15 weeks)?

    Hi everyone

Hope you are all doing well this week and everything is going smoothly for you.

What I need to ask your opinion about is this...

I am currently 15 weeks and 2 days pregnant, however I don't feel pregnant. Is it normal to feel anxious about what is happening in there? Normal to feel worried if everything is alright inside? Since I can't feel anything really, I am not getting bigger, I haven't put on any weight and all my clothes still fit pretty much.

I ask because I have heard many people answer questions about showing at 14 weeks onwards, I realise everyone is different, but do many of you feel like you aren't even pregnant at this stage?

This is my first pregnany and I am fairly clued up on most things, but there are some tricky little questions that I like to get your opinions on.....

Thanks heaps for your answers in advance and good luck to you all with your babies

  • Anyone else experience this?

    Hi everyone

I haven't had a scan yet and I am nearly 10 weeks pregnant. Haven't started feeling nausea until this week, and thankfully its not really too dibilitating. My question is though, I am feeling light gurgling in my stomach and it feels like bubbling sometimes like I am about to pass wind, but I don't.

can anyone shed any light on what this is or if you have experienced this before? Is it anything to worry about?

This is my first pregnancy and I am booked to have my first antenatal appointment in two weeks.

    Thanks!

  • Is it too early to get excited?

    Hi all

First of all I want to say that reading your questions and answers over the last year or so has given me great hope and joy about pregnancy. Well I finally pee'd on a stick yesterday and saw 2 blue lines fairly clearly, I did it again this morning and two blue lines again :) I am going to the doc today and hopefully for a blood test.

My question is, is it too early to get excited yet? It's hard not to be, what are your experiences or opinions on this?

This is my first pregnancy and something I have been waiting for for a long time.

    thanks again in advance :)

  • Anyone else having this issue?

I know I asked a similar question a few weeks ago, but seriously I am not getting email notifications now until 1 week after my contacts have asked questions, by which time it is too late to answer!!! It used to be about 9 hours which I could handle, but now a whole week?

Are you guys having the same problems?

  • Why am I not getting notice of questions by my contacts until 9 hours after they have asked?

Does anyone know why? I am sick of getting an email about a question that one of my contacts has asked like 5-9 hours after they ask the question?

It doesn't give me an opportunity to answer most times....

  • Interesting question about Michael Jackson? For fans only please?

So I have been thinking for a lot of years now

Do you think Michael Jackson knew he was sexy and wanted by many many many many women around the world?

I mean you watch him in his film clips and his lyrics in his songs are so sexy sometimes that they make you just want to jump him on stage!

Do you think he knew that and played on it? I mean more power to him if he did, but he was so shy in real life. I think it was his way of expressing his oozing sexuality where he wouldn't be judged so harshly?

Just curious how the rest of you feel or think about this?

He really is something amazing and we are very lucky to have had him part of our lives :)

    Thanks guys!!

  • Other parents opinions please?

I am a stepmother, my stepdaughter is pretty good compared to most I see or hear about these days.

Her father and I have set down rules in the house that I believe are pretty fair, because apart from those, she gets plenty of freedom, we are not overbearing.

I guess my question is, if the rules are in place, should you have to re-inforce them everynight?? I mean should you have to ask the child carry out her responsibilities every single night, or do you think she should have the initiative now to think " hey I've got stuff I need to do"

Thanks in advance, just want others opinions on the matter
