I live in a small town near the virginia border about an hour from raleigh-durham. over the weekend i had some great shrimp & grits from a small seafood joint beside white oak theater in garner. garner, however, is too far for me to travel regularly for a meal. does anyone know of places that also serve good fish and grits or shrimp and grits in Wake Forest, North Raleigh or parts of Durham County closer to Granville County from I-85?

i want to get in the holiday spirit. i like southern comfort egg nog that i can get from the grocery store and i like jack daniels whiskey. can these be mixed?

When I say country rap, I don't mean Southern hip hop acts. I mean people who do country music but who rap it (although, that becomes a fine line sometimes). I am a huge fan of Colt Ford and the LACS, and I think the second Cowboy Troy album is ok. Mikel Knight's country rap king album is also pretty good. I also like the "Deliverance" album by Bubba Sparxxx and Nappy Roots crosses over enough to be enjoyable. But I want more options than just these. Anybody know of anyone I am missing?

Again, let me make this clear, I am not talking southern hip hop, I'm talking stuff that is actually influenced by country music. Please do not suggest things like Outkast or Cee-Lo or Ludacris or Eightball; those are actual urban contemporary acts. I like urban contemporary but I already have a ton of it.

I mean LEGAL AND LEGIT stuff, no scams or foolishness. I mean stuff that is similar to Hulu, which I love.

I am considering moving to Whichita from North Carolina for a job offer. I am leftist (at least by North Carolina standards) and prefer to be in liberal or moderate cities, though I've lived in mostly conservative cities in the past. Those of you who know Whichita, how would you describe the atmosphere of the city's political leanings?

Before the Panthers debuted, all Redskins games were aired in North Carolina and Washington was treated basically as the home team by the local stations.

I was just curious which teams are treated as the home team by the local stations in some other states that don't have their own team and don't seem to have a team that is followed by their region. For instance, Connecticut has no team but the Patriots are treated as the home team by the local stations and always aired.

Who is aired in Alabama, Mississippi, New Mexico, Montana, Idaho, Oregon, Nebraska, Utah, Nevada, Alaska and the Dakotas?

for those who don't know, this is no joke. the creator of family guy has created a spin off black cartoon called "The Cleveland Show" featuring the black character Cleveland Brown and his new wife, his son, and his stepkids as the feature family.

I've always thought that McFarlane was a no-talent hack and the "Cartoon Wars" episodes of South Park spoke volumes on how pathetic his hit show actually is (he is also responsible for killing Johnny Bravo with his lack of talent after he came aboard, and his show "The Winner" just took lame to an extraordinary level).

But something tells me that allowing this non-talent to attempt a black sitcom when the racial jokes of family guy illustrate that he has no concept of black culture or black humor is going to meet w/ some horrid results. the picture on the promotion site alone just makes my WTF censors go haywire.

I know the show won't be funny, but do you all think it will be successful? do you think it's going to piss off some of the black community elites and if so, do you think that's what Seth is actually banking on? Do you think Seth is going to cross the line w/ his lame attempts at racial humor at some point?

I have some PS1 games and a PS1 Codebreaker and a PS1 Gameshark. However, my PS1 console doesn't work anymore. I shamefully admit that I would like to cheat in one or two of my games. If I were to buy a PS2, would these cheat devices work on when playing PS1 games on PS2? I have heard from friends that PS2 units have blocks against the old cheat devices for PS1

I was wondering if there is ANYWHERE online where you can buy either a new Playstation One (highly unlikely) or a used Playstation One that is GUARANTEED to work. I have had very bad luck w/ trying to buy used video games in the past.

Hey folks, I have built a substantial music collection already, but what I don't have much of are rap/hip-hop CDs with a true emphasis on live instruments where professional musicians is actually playing instruments and some real time was put into composing the music. I want something other than machine percussion and computer generated music and samples every now and then.

Hi folks, I've seen this question answered on here before but i am hoping for a better answer than what I've seen. I am a black male with hybrid hair that isn't as nappy or as straight as it could be. I want to get my hair to look similar to Ice T's from Law and Order SVU, but I don't want to perm or hot comb and I don't think he does. I want it to have a moist look that's combable and I want to avoid friz. I use Cantu Hair Conditioner which helps, but I was wondering if anyone knows of a product or method that may work even better.

According to Wikipedia, the name of the song that starts the Soda Popinski bout is The Volga Boatman Song. However, Volga Boatman Song sounded like a sad, minor chord song when I have heard it played. This song sounds a lot more upbeat and happy. Is this the Volga Boatman Song?? ok well perhaps one of you on this thread can help me. i don't know anything about gangs and don't pretend to, but i do have still prints of the signs that are shown in this video and i am trying to tie this in to a report i'm doing at school. i was wondering if anyone on this thread can answer three things:

1) what are the signs that the dudes are throwing up?

2) what does the sign mean that Quik throws up when he says "Now Denver"?

3) When you listen to the track, it sounds like people are screaming "Buck Crip" or something like that in the background. What is being said and what does it mean?
