I am getting very frustrated with this iPod Touch 4th generation. I have been using my 2nd generation iPod Touch to use iMessage to text people and use as a 'fake iPhone' because carrying around my cell phone and iPod is annoying.

Basically, I have tried multiple times to change the DNS on every network to the google public server (8.8.8.8) and this does not work.

I attempt to sign in to my Apple ID on iMessage and it says "iMessage Activation: Could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again." Even though it claims I cannot connect to the internet, I can connect and browse on Safari and other Apps, but iMessage (also Facetime) will never connect or let me sign in. I continually receive that error message that I need to check my network connection. I just don't understand why. iMessage will work on my iPad 3rd gen and my iPod Touch 2nd gen, but not my iPod Touch 4th gen.

I am using my college's WiFi network and it is hit and miss in my building, but both my iPod touch 2nd gen and iPad 3rd gen can receive iMessages and everything fine. I am starting to think that the 4th gen ipod touch just has a crappy wifi receiver or something.

PLEASE help me fix this. I don't know what else to do.

I recently got Mac OS X Lion and I wanted to reset the virtual machine to the default settings so I can make it my own. Every time I try to boot up into single user mode (Command-s with the command button being the windows key) I get a screen that is not the single user mode and it does not allow me to go into single user mode. I already deleted the user information so I cannot log back in and if I can't boot up in single user mode then I can't restart it. I know the command key works because I used it in the OS before I deleted the user information. I just need to know why VMware Workstation isn't letting me boot up Mac OS X Lion in single user mode.

I have read many forums that you can easily use an AT&T SIM card on a Verizon iPad to access Verizon's 3G network. There have also been many posts that say you cannot do the reverse. I don't understand why this wouldn't work because the 3G networks are on the same frequency or bandwidth from what I understand. Perhaps I just don't understand this enough but to me it sounds like I should be able to go and buy a Verizon SIM card and pop it into my iPad and enjoy some Verizon 3G network coverage. Please let me know. Thanks in advance.

I am looking to get my first ever tablet. I plan on using it primarily for school to have something small to take with me to class and use as a mobile internet device for on campus that is larger than an iPod. I have looked up many reviews of both products and watched many comparison videos and they all say that if this is my first tablet, I should go for the new iPad. But I just don't see why having a better screen and cameras (which I will not use) would be worth an extra $100. The processor in the iPad 2 is the dual core which I am sure would handle my note taking and internet browsing fine.

I just want a third party opinion on what I should get. I plan on buying one next week.

I revoked the rights of Spotify to post to my Facebook wall, but I want to undo that and let Spofity post to my Facebook. I looked quickly in my security settings under the apps, but I didn't see any options for it.

How can I do this if I even can?

I bought a WD My Passport external hard drive for my macbook pro a while ago, and I used it for the Time Machine app to backup all of my files. This format is NFS+ I believe. But I sold that crappy computer to get my ASUS pc laptop and now whenever I plug in my hard drive and try to reformat it, Windows is never able to reformat the drive. I have tried downloading the quick formats from WD's site and those don't work. I do not want to buy a new hard drive and I just want to convert this one to work for Windows (not FAT 32 format). Please help me.

Also, I believe when I bought the WD My Passport I bought the one that was only for Mac, so if that is an issue within itself please let me know. I hope you can help. Thanks.

I just tried to do this in the disk management application in windows 7 and it still didn't work. I was suggested to delete the partitions of the drive, but I cannot figure out how to do that either. Please I need help.

I am selling my mbp online to get a gaming laptop.

I have looked at the various Alienware models and of those the M17x or M15x would be the one. I have also looked at the Toshiba Qosimo or whatever and the Sony VIAO F series.

I do not want any sort of 3D anything because that's dumb and I would never use it.

I will use this for League of Legends and Quake Live and other various games (WoW, RS, Minecraft, etc..) so it needs to be pretty beefy or whatever. Let me know what I should get please. I am stuck and I need to know if I should get the Alienwares because that is what I am focusing on right now.

My budget can fluctuate but nothing about $1700 because that is waaaay too much.

When I first got my MBP, it rarely got hot when I would just have the internet or word processors open and I could have many open and it would stay cool. But one of my fans broke and I got it replaced at the Apple store. Now all of a sudden it is getting hot from doing almost nothing. Is there anyway I can fix this?

Yes, I have tried various fan programs such as smc fan control, but it does not work because it shows that at all times my fan rpms are at 000...which makes me angry.

Please let me know what I should do because I am on the verge of selling it to get a PC.

I am looking at purchasing my first digital camcorder and I narrowed it down to the 8GB UltraHD or the 4GB Mino...I was hoping that some of you would have some tips as to reasons why I should or shouldn't buy each one. I've looked at the specs online and watched a bunch of reviews, but I am still stumped.

I will be using this to make random videos for youtube and things like that...so if that factors in there you have it. Thanks for anything!

Specs of MacBook- 2.53 GHZ Core 2 Duo processor, 320 GB hard drive, 4GB DDR3 RAM and all other default options. I will be using it for college (probably running windows on it as well) and for video editing.
