  • What is the difference between being demisexual and just waiting for sex?

I don't mean this in an offensive way at all. But demisexuality means that they can only be attracted to someone who they have emotional feelings for. But if I've made the decision to wait to have sex until I have an emotional connection with someone; is that different/am I technically "demisexual?"

  • Why do I feel distant from my friends?

Lately I've been feeling distant from the group of friends I always considered myself closest with at college. I feel like they never really do fun things anymore and as much as I wanna hang out with them, whenever I do I don't really have fun. I feel like it's getting harder to talk to them. I still love them and I think they love me, but I'm getting worried that I'm losing friends.

  • Is it okay to swallow chewable birth control?

I'm about one week into my second month ever of birth control (Minastrin 24 Fe). I only just realized that the pills are apparently chewable (the directions just said to take orally I assumed it meant swallow). The pills appear to be working based on my period, but I wanted to know if this is a problem I should call my OBGYN about?

  • All I do is freak out that I ll never find anyone......?

I m a 20 year old young woman. I ve never been in a serious relationship but I have dated and was asked out quite a few times this year (but none of those guys were right for me). With so many people my age getting engaged or in long-term relationships, I"m starting to get nervous. I know that I"m young and have a lot of life to live, but how do I not freak out in the meantime?

  • Do rights to youth play performances only apply if tickets are sold?

For years I have worked as a camp counselor where we do plays twice a summer. We always take the scripts from online or copy them from movies and since we do not sell tickets nor do the parents come- it hasn't been a problem. This year, I found a script online to a show that is currently on Broadway. My question is- due to the aforementioned conditions under which we perform the show- I don't have anything to worry about, correct? We've never had a problem in the past but I just want to make sure.

  • I need suggestions for a cardio workout other than running?

I just got home from college where I do a lot of cardio at the gym that s free with my tuition. This usually includes elliptical and stationary biking. I can t run because of some foot problems- my pediatrist recommends that I do not run distances. Now that I am home and without equipment, I want to make sure I continue working out. Any advices for cardio? I m not able to join a gym.

  • Can you not break up in a courtship?

I don't really wanna start a 19 Kids and Counting War....I just have a question about the logistics of courtship. They claim that in dating, you get more heartache. I don't know if they mean that sex makes you more attached to someone or what, but I was confused about some of the wording on the show that made it sound like once you are in a courtship with someone- you don't break up with them. Can someone explain that to me?

  • Why with increased exercise am I getting hungrier more often?

I ve recently been increasing the amount I go to the gym as well as the rigor of my exercise to get more in shape. As a result, I ve found myself getting hungry throughout the day at times I didn t used to. I know you re supposed to eat when you re hungry (and I eat pretty healthy)- but how do I make sure that all this exercise is helping me lose weight?

  • How do I make things less weird between my friend/ex?

My friend and I had a crush on each other for about 6 months before he finally asked me out. We dated for only a month and a half before he ended it for a reason that I believe was a fear of commitment (this is kind of a pattern of his). When we hang out in a group setting, nothing is weird but any time we have to talk one-on-one, it feels awkward even though I try really hard to make it not. We never really addressed it after he ended it but the actual conversation was very long and emotional (especially for me). I don t want there to be any weirdness because the relationship never got serious enough to mess up our friendship, but I know that too much time has passed (about a month) since the break-up for me to say anything. What do I do?

  • Will I know if I have Ebola?

I think I may have come down with the stomach flu (or getting extremely drunk with no sleep may have been what happened). Yet, with all the Ebola hype and the fact that I don't get sick that often- I just want to know if in public opinion, I would know if I had Ebola or something of that magnitude?

  • Package of nuts missing the seal that you tear off?

My aunt sent me a care package and in it is a bag of unshelled Pistachios in a re-sealable bag? The top part where you tear it off to open is missing. I didn't even notice until after I had eaten a few (like 3 nuts). Should I be concerned that the tearable part is missing? My aunt lives in a pretty nice crime-free area if that is of any relevance.

  • Do I need to update my weight in the myfitnesspal app?

Will the app take pounds away based on my activity (assumed weight loss) or do I need to weigh myself and document weight loss in the app?

  • How can I stay confident in my relationships even when I'm away from people?

I always dwell when I'm alone. Whenever I'm by myself (just got home from college) I find myself thinking about the smallest situations/interactions/conversations that I've had with people and get worried that people don't miss me as much as I miss them. I'm happy whenever I'm around people, but begin doubting when we're apart. Is it normal to feel that way?

  • I'm always worried my friends don't like me?

I consider myself to be a pretty nice, fun-loving, compassionate person who has fairly high anxiety and is pretty self-conscious. I have a decent amount of friends but I'm always worried that they don't want me around and I'm always worried that I've said something to annoy them. I just left college for the summer and I'm kind of nervous that my friends are happy that I'm not around (I expressed to them how much I was going to miss them). Similarly, after I say things I'll dwell on it for a while and I feel really guilty whenever I tell my friends about my problems (but sometimes I can't help but say it if I'm feeling stressed). What can I do to overcome this anxiety because I know at least some of it is silly, I just can't help but think about it.

  • I feel guilty whenever I talk about myself?

I always feel guilty when I talk about my problems. I have high anxiety and get really stressed and sometimes can't help but verbalize those feelings, but whenever I do I feel really guilty and instantly apologize. My friends tell me not to apologize, but I always feel so guilty. Even when I talk about myself I always wonder if it was wrong. Like someone will be telling a story about something and I'll respond with, "I've never had that happen to me, the way it was for me was…..". Why do I always feel guilty whenever I talk about myself? Is that normal? Should I feel guilty? Do people want to hear about my life? I never really know. Please help!

  • Will having a tattoo affect getting a teaching job?

I'm a freshman in college and really want a tattoo. I can't decide where I want it, it would depend on how it would affect future jobs. I am studying to be a high school English teacher. I've had teachers with tattoos in the past but they're usually on the ankle and I'm not sure if I want one there. What do you think? Any suggestions for placement?

The one I want is the word courage with a sound wave trailing the end of it.

  • Signs that there is more than friendship?

I'm pretty sure that me and my guy friend both like each other. The flirtation has been going on for quite a while and whenever we're in a group it's like we're the only person in the room to the other. However, every time there is an opportunity for us to actually verbalize our feelings, no one says anything. We're both very similar, so since I'm afraid of reading the signs wrong, I'm sure he is too. Is there a way for this to just come out naturally so that neither of us has to be uncomfortable?
