I wanna run I want to hide I wanna tear down the walls That hold me inside I wanna reach out And touch the flame Where the streets have no name I want to feel Sunlight on my face I see the dust cloud disappear Without a trace I want to take shelter from the poison rain Where the streets have no name I was Liza for a while, but now Lorraine is back... to stay. • Why do I always have nightmares?

After waking up today, after an especially weird nightmare, I wondered: why do I almost never have nice dreams? When I dream (which is almost every day) I always wake up scared, uncomfortable or sad, never happy or disappointed because a really cool dream I had wasn't true. There's always the relief of knowing that person didn't die or that thing didn't actually happened.

    So what do you think?

  • B&A Writers: what do you prefer...? +BQ?

Or what kind of writer are you? The one that thinks anything he writes is pure awesomeness, or the everything-I-write-is-cr*p type. No middle point. Which of the two types applies to yourself or it's closer to who you are? Or what do you prefer to be?

  • B&A NaNoWriMo-ers: Please help me out...?

I'm a little behind in NaNoWriMo, so tonight I'm doing an intensive session of writing. I'm starting a brand new chapter and need some ideas, do you think you could help me out?

So, my MC found out that her parents abandoned her to follow a dream, but agreed with her sister to forget about it and don't let what her parents did in the past ruin her future. The problem is, she can't. So about a month later she's still wondering what really happened (cause her parents disappeared without a trace), and then something happens that makes her undertake a journey to find the truth. I know, I know, couldn't be more cliche, but it's NaNoWriMo, right? You're supposed to have fun with a story that really sucks :)

So... What could make her start looking for her parents? Any ideas are welcomed :D

    Thanks

    And good luck to everybody!

  • B&A Writers: who do you consider yourself...? + BQ?

the type that drop all the details at once, or the ones that barely say something about the character or whatever, and drop some information randomly along the novel? or the middle type?

i consider myself the "information randomly across the novel" type, and i think it's getting too random XD
