  • How to re-attach a shower slide bracket to the wall?

I was sliding the shower head on the slide bracket when it came away from the wall, only on the top. The bottom part is still in the wall and the thing is at a diagonal angle so I don't have a lot of wiggle room. I can't treat it like a regular hole in the wall because I need the nail to go straight back in, I can't just patch it up then drill. I've tried No More Nails glue to try to stick the plastic around the screw to the wall like glue, but it didn't hold even for a second.

    Any advice?

  • Does buying a sim-free phone mean it can be used with any network?

I'm with Meteor Ireland and would rather not switch networks but I have my heart set on the Samsung Genio Slide. According to the Samsung website, this phone is not available with Meteor. Will buying it sim-free and unlocked (or getting it unlocked) mean I can put my Meteor sim into it?

  • Can someone identify a wine by this description?

A while ago I had an absolutely lovely red wine but didn't catch the name and haven't been able to find it since.

It was a red wine and was very spicy and quite sweet, almost like jam, with a slight taste of cinnamon. No taste of blackcurrant or plum at all, which was what I liked about it. And no it wasn't Beaujolais! In colour it was very red, almost browny-crimson, not at all purple.

What else? It was in a green bottle with gothic writing on the label. Usually I know my wines but this one got away from me.

    Thanks!

  • WoW - Hunter needs help?

Lvl 12 NE Hunter. I had just finished the Taming the Beast quest but then had to quickly log off before I could turn it in to whatever the guy's name is, then when I next got to play, it had marked the quest as complete and my taming rod was gone, along with all my 15min pets, but I hadn't received the taming lesson that was supposed to be the reward. So now I appear to have no way of getting a pet. I can't abandon the quest and re-take it cos as far as it's concerned I already completed it. Is it possible to buy another taming rod or is there somewhere else you can learn to tame without one?

  • Should we get one dog or two?

So my fiance and I are discussing getting our first dog together but since we both work, I figure we should probably get two instead of one so they can keep each other company during the day. The breeds we have our hearts set on are a chow and a westie, but obviously we're both open to alternatives or crosses etc.

Do you think this is a good idea and will these two breeds get along ok?

He's had dogs before but it'll be my first one.

  • Neural braids in "Avatar"?

A question that keeps coming up is along the lines of if linking neural braids is how the Naavi have sex, why do they also do it with other animals.

I'm wondering why does everyone assume that the linking of neural braids is having sex? What I understood from the movie was that it was something that they chose to do WHILE having sex, the way some people might choose to hold hands or kiss.

Just wondering if there was something I missed, that specifically stated that the linking of braids is "how they do it"?

  • Two questions about Barcelona: transport and tapas?

An odd combination, I know. Heading to Barcelona soon and everyone keeps telling me how dangerous it is there so I want to know every little detail before I go so that I don't mark myself out too much as foreigner (i.e. easy target!).

Regarding the metro system, say if you're in a metro station where several of the lines connect, like Passieg De Gracia, how easily recognisable are the trains in terms of which colour they are? As in how do I know if the one going past is the L2 or the L4?

And all the tourist websites make tapas bars sound so daunting in comparison to restaurants with menus and orders. What's the story with tapas bars?

  • Microsoft Word page numbers?

I'm doing my thesis and the first few pages, with the table of contents, list of appendices etc have to have roman numerals as page numbers, and then the main body of text has to have normal numbers, with the abstract as page 1. Is there a way of doing this without splitting it into two separate documents?

  • Polite way of saying "don't bring your kids"?

Ok so I have this one very young cousin who is a spoiled brat (sad but true) who is sure to ruin the wedding if she comes. It wouldn't be the first one she's ruined, trust me! On the other hand I have other cousins about her age who I adore and definitely want to be there. So I can't just say "adults only" either. How to be tactful?
