  • How are assets treated under cash basis accounting?

I am so confused! Are assets treated the same way under cash basis accounting (except for receivables and prepaid assets)? For instance, if I am buying $3000 in computer equipment...I would debit equipment and credit cash...correct? If so, am I able to depreciate that asset? Also, how are utility deposits handled under cash basis accounting? If I put a $250 utility deposit down in August, how would I account for that? Thanks for any help...I think I have researched and read so many articles that I am more confused then when I started.

  • What are typical benefits offered to a Daycare Worker?

I am doing a college HR project on a daycare center and I have to develop an Benefits section in an HR manual. I know most daycares don't offer a lot of benefits, but there must be a few. Any help would be appreciated! I've contacted a few daycares and most are not willing to divulge the information to me.

  • What do you think about this daycare name?

Any help would be great! I'm a business major and we were instructed to create a business of our choice. The business I choose was a daycare facility. I'm having a little trouble developing a name for my daycare center. I want the name to reflect it being a Christian daycare center. The ones I have come up with are:

    Little Lambs Daycare Center

    Noah's Ark Daycare Center

What do you think about them, or do you have any suggestions?

I was told that it would be fixed my editing the Microsoft Windows system registry file, and I followed all the directions 100%, yet my optical drives are not back under "My Computer". Is anyone familiar with something else that might be causing this problem. I can not run my "Restore disk" since my drives are not being recognized.

  • How do I learn to embrace motherhood?

I am 26 and have 2 boys: ages 2.5 and 1.5 yrs old. I never wanted children, so I made sure to take precautions. Both of my children were concieved while I was on birth control; the first one was on the pill and the 2nd on an IUD. But now fast forward and here I am with two beautiful little boys who I love very much, but I don't feel like I'm "mommy material." About eight months ago, my husband decided it was in my best interest to quit my job of 8yrs (retail store mgr) and stay home with my boys because of the rising costs of daycare and give me a chance to finish my Bachelors. However, I'm absolutley miserable. I HATE staying home with my children, and I'm afraid I'm starting to resent them even. I'm beyond my breaking point, and I don't know what to do. I've tried taking the kids to preschool meetups in our area, but even at that I'm miserable. I'm just not one of those mommy types that live and breathe her kids, and that revelation makes me feel like a failure too. Don't get me wrong, I love my kids dearly...but only in very small doses. As soon as I finish my degree, I'm high-tailing back to the corporate world because that's what truly makes me happy. For now though, does anyone have any advice on learning to embrace my role as a stay at home mom. I know I sound ungreatful for my beautiful family...and that is truly not the case...I've just always knew children of my own were never an option, and now I'm having trouble adjusting to a different sort of life for myself.
