A doubt regarding patenting....?
Patents are limited to countries. If someone has a patent in china for a concept then he reserves the rights for it only in china. And I also know that anyone in any other country cannot patent the same but could put it into production.
Now suppose, if someone has a patent for an invention in US. And a person in India finds it useful and makes a product of it in India. And then that innovator in US applies for patent in India too... Then what will happen.. Will the company in India have to be shutdown??
3 AnswersLaw & Ethics8 years agoBidirectional buck-boost converter designing?
I want to design a bidirectional buck-boost converter of 48V to 32V. I have searched a lot but didnt got anything reliable. The circuit is quite like the image in this link...
http://ars.els-cdn.com/content/image/1-s2.0-S01968...
The input (battery side) should be constant at 48V. Output (supercap side) is variable from 20V to 31V. And off course the circuit should be bidirectional. I want to know the formulas to calculate the values of inductor, IGBTs, and the capacitor (not shown in the image, to be connected across the battery). There are PWM signals (S1 and S2) applied across the Gate of IGBTs. What frequency, amplitude and duty cycle it should be??? Also if someone could explain the theory behind.
Or is there any other proper circuit. Or if anyone could direct me to the link where I could get it by my own. Please dont give any random link from a google search. I have tried many. Please give links which you have used or studied from.
Any other relevant info..??
Thank you in advance!!!

If I have 2 lead acid battery packs of 24V 26Ah each, and I want to charge them. Which one of the following techniques will take lesser time????
1) I connect them in series to make a 48V 26Ah unit, and charge this pack using a suitable charger for 48Volts.
2) I charge the 2 packs of 24V 26Ah simultaneously using two suitable chargers of 24 volts.

I know that aerodynamic drag is a problem. But can it be minimized with:
1) Making blades of inclined to the motion of car.
2)modifying blades and making them of lightest material.
3)Covering half portion of the wind turbine blade surface.
4)Making rotor of the dynamo of lightest material.
Wind turbine will just contribute to charging form power station or home plug ins , solar module and regenerative braking.
2 AnswersEngineering1 decade agois it possible to go back in time or to go into the future?
I know that we can go either in past or in future, not into both. Einstein's relativity limits us to do that. But I forgot to which past or future. In a program on discovery I got to know that we can go into past only but in the program by Stephen Hawking he said we can go only into the future???
