As a film/media studies student, what is the best way for filming in the dark?
Hello, for my coursework for AS Film Studies, I have to create a short movie. The genre I have chosen is horror due to my great understanding of the codes and conventions, not to mention I am pretty far into my planning.
However, being a student has its downfalls of being poor. I'm looking for an effective and cheap way to be able to film in the dark (I'm filming in the woods) using a regular camera. I was thinking of purchasing a cheap headlight but I know if I spend less money on something, the quality is going to be pretty crap. My other friend suggested just taping a torch to a helmet which is probably more cost sufficient.
I was wondering if there are any other good ways of capturing good quality in the dark, please help!!
Many thanks, Sharna.
(I'm not sure on the types of camera's my college have out on loan, I have used/experienced them before but do not know the brand/name/type)
