How to cook a hard boiled egg slowly?
I have been looking for a better recipe for a hard boiled egg rather than the old 12 minute stove top version. I saw something about using an oven and one about a slow cooker, but nothing definite.
Any suggestions? I love to try new things in the kitchen.

My wife is a school teacher, and her kids go through tons of pencils. Only one month into the school year and she has like thirty of them already. Last year she threw out bags of them.
What is something that we can do with all of these stubs? Can they be recycled, or are there any good art projects that can be done with them? Any suggestions would be helpful.
The stubs come out to about two to three inches, just short enough that they cannot be used in a pencil sharpener.
