Toyota is the one company that COULD build an EV if it wanted to, because it still has working EVs on the road, hundreds of them.

But unless it’s allowed to use Nickel Metal Hydride batteries, it cannot do so; currently, Chevron owns control of NiMH and sued Toyota back in 2001 to stop them from using NiMH for cars that can plug in.

Diabolically, Chevron allowed them to use NiMH so long as the battery is too small to plug-in.

And who sold control of the batteries to Chevron (Standard Oil of California)?

GENERAL MOTORS!! So GM and Standard Oil colluded to kill the Electric car, just as they colluded to kill urban electric railways back in the 1940’s.

Bottom line: what is an oil company doing controlling the only batteries proven to last longer than the life of the EV????

In addition to corporations, NATIONS now also lobby our congress for favors. Some of these nations, like Iran and Venezuela, are no friend to the USA, yet they spend millions of dollars hiring Washington insiders who will push their agendas. We are spending $Trilllions$ and the lives of American soldiers for so called friends who can't help US in times of our need!

George Bush is a man who is very well known for codling the affluent oil sector of our economy . Why would he want to stop the financial windfall his friends are reaping. Would Bush's friends request Saudi or OPEC to pump more oil to alter the present ratio of supply and demand - thereby bring gasoline prices down?
