Can we get David Cameron 'empty chaired' ?
Anyone prepared to sign a petition to have him 'empty chaired' if he won't go head to head ?

11 AnswersPolitics6 years agoAnyone else want to know what tax avoidance really costs the UK ?
Depending on where you read the answer varies considerably.
What's the real figure and how does it compare to the money lost in benefit fraud ?
The government would like us to believe benefit fraud costs a lot more than it actually does, I'll bet tax avoidance costs a lot more but the government conveniently overlook it.

9 AnswersOther - Politics & Government8 years agoCan anyone offer a bit of advice for a beginner to macro photography......?
I've recently purchased a starter SLR camera (Nikon 3100) and found that even with the standard 18 - 55mm I've managed reasonable results taking close up shots of flowers etc.
I'd be interested to try and improve on the results with a better lens allowing me to photograph insects etc close up. I'm only a beginner and have a budget of about £150 to spend, is there anything in this price range that would allow me to get life size or larger images of close up subjects ?
I'm happy enough to digitally zoom images to get the size I want to so long as I can still keep clear definition but obviously the larger the image I can get optically the better.
Argos have a Sigma 70 - 300 mm macro lens for £140, is that likely to offer signicantly better close up shots than my existing lens or is there anything better I should be looking at in my budget ?
Many thanks.
10 AnswersCameras8 years agoQuestion about lithium (Li - ion) batteries for Nikon cameras.......?
I have just purchased a Nikon SLR camera that uses a Li - ion battery, the manufacturer says do not attempt to charge an already fully charged battery, but what about a partly charged one ?
The battery fully charged shoots about 500 frames but I sometimes shoot 300 and end up with a battery with less than half a charge left ( say 200 frames). That amount of charge may not always be enough for my next use so will it harm the battery by repeatedly 'topping it up' from a half charged state ?
I know the simple answer is buy a spare battery but I'm reluctant to spend another £50 when I'm unlikely to ever take more than 500 images per trip.
Many thanks.
4 AnswersCameras8 years agoAccording to yesterdays papers Chris Huhne has allegedly been bragging he will be out of jail in 6 weeks......?
....if that's the case do you think he's been overly optimistic ?
I'm no legal expert but after all the time and money he's wasted protesting his innocence I'd have thought he'd expect 18 - 24 months and possibly serve half that time.
What do you think he'll get and what do you think he SHOULD get ?
12 AnswersPolitics8 years agoAre there any digital 'Bridge' cameras in the £150 range with a bulb setting?
I'm thinking of getting something a little better than my existing compact camera but can't justify the expense of an SLR and thought of a bridge camera something like the Fuji S4400 (£130).
I'm no expert enthusiast so I don't need anything sophisticated but I would like to possibly try a bit of night photograhy but so far the cameras I have looked at don't have a bulb setting and don't allow an exposure longer than 8 secs.
Is there anything in my price range that might be useful for night work ?
Many thanks.
3 AnswersCameras8 years agoIs it the intention in the 2015 general election campaign to have............?
......televised 'head to head' speeches from the leaders of the main parties like we did in 2010 ?
If that's the case, will UKIP be invited to join ?
7 AnswersPolitics8 years agoIs the UKIP increase in popularity helping Labour?
Clearly UKIP aren't realistically expected to win the 2015 election but they are nontheless steadily gaining support.
No doubt a lot of potential UKIP voters will be disenchanted former Lib Dems, but presumably a lot of the are also from the Tory 'right'.
Cameron can't afford to be losing his hardcore supporters but on the face of it his party seems to have more to lose the Labour.

....according to todays Daily Telegraph, back bench Conservative MP's are pressurising 'Boy George' Osbourne to give tax breaks in the forthcoming budget to those earning over 50k who are losing out because of child benefit reforms.
We're all in this together or so Cameron keeps telling us, but clearly if you are in the upper pay bracket you may need additional help.
7 AnswersPolitics8 years agoIpod touch 5th Generation frozen up?
Can anyone help.
After downloading the latest software update thro itunes my ipod has frozen up with the USB / itunes logo on the screen. The error code I get is 3014 which suggests it doesnt recognise being connected to my computer, although I have tried it in different USB ports and the lead is in good condition.
The reboot procedure people suggest about holding the power button and home buttons together does nothing, any ideas what else I can try ?
Thanks.

12 AnswersPolitics8 years agoHow do you think Nick Clegg will fair in the 2015 election assuming he puts himself forward as a candidate?
I'm not talking about the Lib Dems as a party here, just Nick Clegg.
I can see him ending up in about 5th or 6th place along with the minor parties unless he manages to perform miracles in the next 2 years.
