  • Writing a Paper, Primary Source Question?

I'm writing a (Scholarly!) Paper on Anarchism in America, and I need a certain number of primary sources. Would essays written by Anarchists be considered a primary source? I believe so, but I wanted to double check. Thanks for your help!

  • Quick, quiet, effective workouts?

I've been working very hard in the gym lately to improve my body. I've been doing an hour on the elliptical, and then abs and then some resistance training. However, next week I am going to visit my boyfriend and staying with his grandmother. I don't want to lose all the good progress I've made, but running will be impossible because I have a bad knee, and walking unlikely because we live in the south, and its been well over 100 degrees lately.

That having been said, can anyone suggest a good, quick, quiet cardio workout that I could maybe do in my bedroom in the morning? I'm going to do my ab workout and the usual lunges and squats, but I'd really like some good cardio too.

Side note: If anyone has any ideas of how to stick to my diet without being rude on this trip, that would also be appreciated. :)

  • Why am I Not losing weight?

I'm 5-10 and about 155. I'm not technically 'overweight', but trust me, I am not where I should be. So, for three weeks I have been dieting (the special K diet, as I am poor poor poor) and working out 4-5 days a week. I do between 30-60m cardio, an ab routine, and some weight training. Nothing fancy, just making sure I feel the burn. I don't touch soda, chips, or sweets. I'm taking in less than 1200 calories a day. I did have two 'slip up Saturdays' but hardly bad enough to negate all the work I've done. But three weeks later... maybe 2lbs gone. Why? Thanks for your help-

  • Microwave Meals help?

Due to a long series of unfortunate events, my husband and I are living in a hotel for a month. We are rather strapped for cash, and at current the mini fridge here contains a few microwave meals and 3 boxes of kraft dinner.

We would like to know if anyone has some recipes that can be made in the microwave that are reasonably healthy and balanced with minimal ingredients (seeing as moving a lb of sugar is not very practical, especially if you don't know where you'll be moving it to.). Thank you guys!

  • Scared of getting pregnant?

Hi, I'm married, have been for about a year. My husband and I are very careful with birth control (I'm on the pill and we still use condoms) but both of us are terrified of me getting pregnant- we're both in school, and it would just be an awful time. We are so nervous about it that it's affecting our sex life. Any advice? Has anyone else been through this?

Also, we are not believers in abortion or the RU-486 (morning after pill).

  • Cheap Anniversary Help?

My husband lost his job recently, and I don't have my official papers for Canada (where we are- I'm American) and we're moving soon. Because of this we have literally no money. However, our 1 year anniversary is coming up. We can't afford trips, eating out, or even steaks or flowers. I want to make this special- it has been the best year of my life, and I want to show him (though I hope I do everyday) any ideas?

  • Your Best Rice Recipes!?

My husband just lost his job, so we're a little short on grocery cash. BUT, thanks to generous friends, we somehow ended up with pounds upon pounds of rice. We'd like to put it to good use, especially since we're moving in a few months, and would rather not take it with us.

So, may I please have your favorite rice recipes? Even if it's a dish best served over rice, or with rice in it, or anything! Thank you so much!

  • Christmas Alternatives?

My husband was raised as a Jehovah's Witness (they don't celebrate christmas) and even though he doesn't completely hold to their beliefs anymore, he has a hard time with a lot of stuff. Like, this coming christmas will be his first (and ours) and there are certain things he has issues with, like a Christmas tree (because of it's pagan origin). But I love Christmas, and still want to decorate. Do you guys have any tips for a sans-Santa and tree Christmas? Thanks!

  • What to do from Canada?

One of my school teacher's wife died. I didn't know her well, but I was close to the teacher, and familiar with their two young children. I live 2000 miles away, and as such can't attend the funeral or take them food. Flowers are a possibility, but I'm fairly skint. It seems like they'll be getting so many cards, it's almost a waste to send one. Does anyone have any ideas? Thank you.

  • Can I make this recipe ahead?

I am making this recipe ( http://www.eatingwell.com/recipes/pear_red_onion_g... ) for Thanksgiving dinner. However, I already have limited oven space, and this recipe calls for roasting, and I don't want to turn up the temperature on my turkey. Is there any way to make this dish ahead of time, or will it end up soggy? Thanks! :)

  • What is the game with the red balls and blue lines?

Its an old computer game where you box in the red balls using the blue lines. Each level gives you more red balls. What's it called, and a link to it would be great. :) Thanks!

  • Money spent at a typical concert?

Im heading to a concert with my boyfriend next month for his birthday, so it's all on me. I'm trying to figure out how much I should have set aside for it. Between drinks, souvenirs, parking, etc. It's a flogging molly concert, but I was just wondering what is typical. Thanks so much!

  • How to be supportive in an odd situation?

My boyfriend (of only two months) is wonderful in every way. The thing is, a few years ago, he was in love with a pretty amazing girl, and she passed away. He doesn't much like to talk about it, so I dont know all the details. We're both young, but he was very serious with her, and I gather not with anyone else until me. How can I be supportive (even though it's hard to hear about how much he loved her) in this situation? I love him, and I know he loves me, but I am at a major loss. Thanks guys.

  • Post wisdom teeth removal; bad taste?

I've read around, and apparently its quite normal...but now the question is how to deal with it. Im home, so Im spitting and brushing and swishing quite often. However, next week I go to school, and teachers tend to frown on spitting in the middle of class. I plan to carry around my toothbrush and Listerine in my backback, but do yall have any other suggestions?

Also, I am quite miserable...how did yall deal with it, and how long did it last? Thanks!

  • Would you send an email?

I've been talking to this guy via chat everyday for several weeks. He had to go out of town for a few days, so we haven't talked. He's supposed to get home tonight.

Would you send an email saying you missed him (cuz I did)? Or is that too desperate? I just would like the idea of coming to an email like that. But I'm not a guy, and I don't want to seem too pushy. Or talk has definitely been romantic, but not definitive, I guess. If that makes sense. Oh well, thanks for your help! :)
