  • I am pregnant, can I be refused a job because of being pregnant?

I am in the process of job hunting, and I am looking for something in the medical field such as a CNA, because I will be going back to school to finish up my nursing degree. Now one of the requirements of being a CNA is to be able to lift around 70 pounds, right now I have no problem lifting that weight, I have just got done bucking bales that were weighting 110 #, but as my pregnancy progresses I know that I will not be able to lift that 70# plus the place of employment might think it an insurance liability to employ a pregnant person in such a strenuous work environment.

and please no comments on how I shouldn't be lifting that weight right now, this is my third pregnancy and I know when i should or should not be lifting!

    THanks in advance~

  • Anyone know of a Insurance that will reimburse for non registered nurse midwives?

I am looking for Health Insurance for myself, due to the fact I am pregnant. I have recently found a midwife in my area however she is not a registered nurse midwife so I have found most insurance companies will not reimburse me for her services. I live in a rather rural area and the closest registered nurse midwife is over 2 1/2 hours away, which just isn't feasible. So any help or information would be great! thanks!
