If background checks to own guns are good,?
why not background checks for voting? That way we can keep those who can't legally vote from doing so. People such as felons, people with mental illnesses, illegal aliens, etc. are banned in many states from voting, why shouldn't they be checked? I know that some will say there is a difference because votes don't kill people. Uh-huh. Just ask the latest victims of Obama's drone strikes.
If you don't think it's possible, just remember that the same Constitution that gives voting rights gives gun rights too.
5 AnswersLaw & Ethics8 years agoWhy are the rich hated?
Do they come to your house in the middle of the night and steal you money? Do they rip you off by only giving you one choice and you have to pay top dollar, and if so, what happens when another rich person provides the same product at a cheaper price? Are they stealing from you or the other rich person?
Basically, I am looking for some explanation of why they are the designated enemy du jour. If they have more than you, is that not your problem, and therefore just greed and envy? If they don't hire you, does that mean you can't find another job or start your own?
I am really worried about my country where the idea of someone "has too much" and therefore should pay more is the standard. If so, what prevents someone else from saying you have too much, and you must give up more?
22 AnswersPolitics10 years agoDo you think that the YA supporters of Obama?
do so because:
a) They are true believers and don't allow facts or reality to confuse them and are therefore unreachable.
b) Would never do so if it was a white man with the same performance record but feel they have to because of the color of his skin, and his historic achievement of being the first black President.
c) Were early supporters, and now have buyer''s remorse and are too ashamed to admit it.
d) Are so anti-Republican/Tea Party, they would vote for Adolf Genghis Kahn Hitler, so long as he has a D behind his name.
11 AnswersPolitics10 years agoIf you don't pay income taxes but get government services, are you a tax cheat?
Since half the country has to rely on the other half to pay taxes to support government services, is that fair?

Should I shorten the chain, or is there something that I missed?

3 AnswersGovernment10 years agoWhat amount is "rich?"?
I am asking YA members because you are presumably interested in politics, but what amount would you consider rich? Follow on questions:: How much should the rich be required to pay in taxes, and; what is the moral authority to take more from one person than another?
5 AnswersGovernment10 years agoHas anyone put a jet ski motor into the pontoons of a pontoon boat?
I have a pontoon boat, and have been thinking that if you dropped a jet ski motor/impeller pack into the pontoon on each side, you could get close to 500 HP with the weight below the water line. Combine it with a T handle for direction control and steering, and the boat could do a pivot steer or even sidle to the dock. What do you think?
