  • Is it okay to discard your spouse's items without asking them?

My wife is a bit of a packrat. I throw her stuff away sometimes when I think she won't miss it. Sometimes I throw out stuff just because I don't feel like cleaning it. Like she had this collectible trashcan that she was really excited to buy, but, I didn't bother to put a garbage bag in it before putting trash in it. Then when I emptied the trash it was just gross, so I threw the whole thing away right before hauling the trash out so there was no chance she could retrieve it. Of course, now she's mad at me and threatening to throw my stuff away. Who's in the wrong here?

  • Compact Stroller that still has larger wheels?

My wife and I are trying to find a lightweight stroller that will actually fit in our compact cars trunk BUT that still has larger tires so that it can handle dirt trails. Does such a thing exist?

While we would love something nice like a BOB stroller, there's a good chance our stroller will end up stolen (some places we have to park and leave the stroller unattended), so something that's more affordable for replacement would be nice.

    We're located in the US..

    Thanks for any ideas!

  • My dogs keep losing their collars?

Unfortunately, they rough house and play a LOT with each other and the collars usually come off or break during play. Plastic quick-clip collars are a joke, they are gone in a couple of days and usually I find them with the catch snapped. I hoped that traditional buckle collars would work well, but, they lost those in under 24 hours. No, they aren't getting them off over their heads, they're actually unbuckling them during play because they pull on each others collars..

Is there a dog collar that has both a traditional buckle and then an additional latch to keep the dogs from being able to pull the end back through the buckle?

  • Where to find a decent microscope?

We are expecting our first child and plan to home school. So, we are trying to build up things we feel we will need. My wife really enjoyed Microbiology in college. She'd had one of those kids microscopes while growing up that just didn't work well for anything. What we'd like is something similar to what would be used in College Microbiology. Any ideas for where we would find such a thing?

  • Help! Kingdom Hearts Re: Chain of Memories?

I just cannot figure out this game.. I guess this is what I get for thinking all those card based battle games were stupid! Anyhow, I can't even make it through the first room of heartless. All the guides are how to build these awesome decks of cards I can't get yet. How do I stay alive for the first room with heartless? Do I have to play a card first or wait? Yeah, I have no idea.

  • Is there a trick to finding a radio fence collar my dog lost in our yard?

My yard has both a physical fence and a radio fence. I know there's a trick someone published online for finding a break in the radio fence wire, so I'm hoping there's a trick for finding a missing collar too. Unfortunately it's about 5 acres of yard with plenty of underbrush. I've checked all her favorite places and it wasn't there.

My other concern is that it's not in our yard but that my awful neighbor came over the fence and stole it. She has a ladder leaning against our fence today. She has a long history of getting dogs but not having a fence, then her dogs get into my yard and kill my chickens and I trap them and bring them to animal control. She's gotten a new dog, and I'm thinking she may have stolen the collar being too stupid to understand that you also need to install the rest of the system.

I just don't want to rake 5 acres if it's been stolen and isn't even here anymore.. BUT, I will if there's no trick to finding it.

  • Planning on getting a turtle?

Are you planning on getting a turtle? Did you know that those small $10 turtles at the pet store grow to be the size of dinner plates and need large tanks or an enclosed pond for swimming?

You can read more here: http://www.redearslider.com/startup.html

    and here: http://www.tortoisetrust.org/articles/res.html

Perhaps you had a turtle before that lived to the 'ripe old age' of 5.

Well, it SHOULD have lived until at least 20 years old. If it didn't, it's because you probably didn't house it or feed it properly and should do more research before even THINKING of getting another one.

SO, my question is, now that you know that, how do you plan to house your new turtle?
