If you drop a lit cigarette onto a wooden footbridge, would it burn the bridge down? I need to know because someone just poked a hole in one of my novel's key metaphors.

I've tried fictionpress, wattpad, and now figment. They all have their merits, but I'm drowning in drama, cries for attention, and poor grasp of writing mechanics. Is there a writing website somewhere for amateur adults?

So like a million other Anglophiles in the U.S., I desperately want to see the Inbetweeners movie. I'm not above torrents in general but in this case it's not available for love or money anywhere on the internet -- this I'm 99% sure of -- so you can keep your fake spam links to yourself. Plus I would like to support this enterprise with money. The British need to know how much we love them over here!

Now it was supposed to be released in the U.S. on November 25th but none of the mainstream theaters are listing it, of course. Where does one generally see films that are foreign but not even slightly artsy or independent?

As for location, anywhere in the Chicago area would be fine as I'll be home for Thanksgiving. Anywhere in northern Indiana would be acceptable too as I could stop on the way back. Hell, at this point I'd even drive to Ohio or Michigan.

I'm filling out Hireright's electronic version of the I-9 employment form. At the bottom of section one, under the optional preparer's signature, it asks for the "Cost Center/ Source Code/ Department Code". What does this mean? It's a required field so I can't leave it blank or put n/a.

This is really annoying. I have female acquaintances but you can't go places with acquaintances. Being girls, they are too nice to tell me to go pound sand when I make friendly overtures, but then they don't ever seek me out, either. Are there things some girls do that other girls can't live with, but that guys are fine with? It's not like I have substandard manners or even enjoy any male-centered activities (although I am an engineering major). I am sick of video game night. Please help!

I realize some are, or Rowling wouldn't be suing that one discount book website, but are a good proportion of them fake?
