Mapeline users - can you make with Splenda?
So I make syrup with the mapeline extract (1 cup boiling water, 2 cups sugar and 1 tsp mapeline). I wonder if it is possible to do this with a sugar substitute (like Splenda)? Splenda is so much sweeter, so I would think I would use less, but I don't know if it would have the same thickening effect as sugar and water. Anyone tried this?
