This is my daughter's first Halloween. She will be 8 months. I am trying to find a cute little costume for her. I think she will be a ladybug, butterfly, piggy, or something to that line. Something that is cute. What will your child be if you dress them up? Will you be taking them trick or treating or to some festival? I would like to dress my LO up and take her to take pictures in her costume.

This will be my daughter's first Christmas. She will be 10 months old. I was thinking about getting her something small to ride on, a learning laptop since she loves mine so much, a few leap frog toys, one of the little toys that you stand and push to help you walk, walking shoes, clothes, and baby Einstein dvds to watch. Her birthday is February and I want to get her a big wagon them to pull her around in the summer time. I guess this will be some good stuff for her. What do you think?

I am so excited and ready for her first Christmas!

My daughter will be 6 months on the 25th. I know that all babies develop at different times and learn things at different times, but I feel like my daughter is behind compared to all my friend's kids. My daughter hates tummy time still. I try to give it to her anyways as much as I can. She is not rolling over. She will move upward if on her back but she will not roll from stomach to back. She is trying to sit up, but she can't sit unsupported yet. She can sit for about 2-3 secs before tipping over. Also, she still is not sleeping thru the night completely. She usually go to bed around 9-9:30 and will be up in 4-5 hrs. She is only eating around 5-5 1/2 ozs. She also is not teething.

On the good side, she is very alert. She tries to talk and scream. She will laugh out loud sometimes but smiles 24/7. She know how to grab items and she is eating cereal and stage one veggies. She can also copy mouth gestures that I make at her like pop her lips. lol

What was your baby doing at this age? I know she will eventual get everything but sometimes it just worries me. Thank you for your feedback.

I am thinking about switching from Comcast to Direct TV. I am paying too much for digital cable and internet with comcast and they do not offer Bravo in my area, which I really love. Could anyone please give me some experiences, good or bad, that you have had with Direct TV. (best package, installation, billing, etc). Also, I will be doing interent service with AT&T. Thanks

So I brought an used 2007 Nissan Maxima in 2007. Being dumb and wanting a dependable and affordable car, I got it having 35,000 miles. I recently found a paper stuck behind the glove compartment and it shows that my car was a rental car but the dealership (not Nissan) but an Acura Deadership did not tell me this information. Now, 2 years later, it is at 62,000 miles. It has not been giving me any problems, but the mileage is too high. I have found another 2007 one. Different colors and this one is fully loaded unlike my last one with only 14,500 miles. My question is: if I can keep the same payments and the total price does not increase too much, should I go ahead and make the trade or do you think my car will be ok?

I took my 12 week old baby to the doctor yesterday for a cold. I took her just to be safe with the Swine Flu going around. She is very congested and has been splitting up cold and has a small cough and bad running nose. I been checking her fever and she has not had one. This all started on Saturday. Well the doctors say she is congested in her throat and nose. She also put her on an antibiotics. I don't have the name of it right now, but it is the pink liquid that I can remember taking for infections that you have to keep in the refrigerator. I always heard that you don't put babies on medicines, that you should let them fight their colds out to build their immune system. I am suppose to give it to her 2X a day for 10 days. What is your thoughts about it? I just need to ease my mind. I am a new and first time mommy and I want everything to go right. Thanks

Ok. I need some help because I am freaking myself out about this flat head with my daughter. My baby will be 3 months next week and her head is going flat in the back and her hair is coming out where she lays on her head. She sleeps on her back because of SIDS. I try to rotate her and put her on her side, but she always end up on her back again. She hates tummy time!!! I will try tummy time and within a minute, she is screaming to get up. Is there anything I can do to help with this problem? Or anything I can buy? It is not so bad that she needs a helmet (I don't think), but you can see! I just don't want her having the flat head.

at birth and at 2 months old? My daughter just had her 2 month old check up and she weighs 11 lbs 2 1/2 ozs. She was 7lbs 4 1/2ozs at birth. She is also eating 3-4 ozs every 2 1/2-3 hrs.

What is your little ones weight and how much they are eating?? Just a for fun question!!!

Ok. My little girl will be 6 weeks old tomorrow and her NAVAL CORD is still on. It has not felt off yet. I am scared it is infected or going to cause problems in the long run. I know most babies fall off within the first 2-3 weeks. I took her to the doctor last week and she was going to take the cord off but said it was still attached to good. She told me that I have been putting too much alcohol on it and keeping it too moist. She told me to continue with the alcohol but not much to dry it out and if it hasn't felt off by tomorrow, that she will take it off if it is hanging a little. Is this normal for it to stay on this long and have you ever heard of the doctor taking it off? I just don't want any infections or anything. Please give me your advice and opinions. Thanks

My 4 week old was sent home from the hospital on Enfamil Liptol. She had blood in her BM and had very painful gas, so her doctor switched her to Similac Alimentum. She has been on it for 3 weeks now. She does not have blood in her BM anymore, but she still has alot of gas all the time and sometimes she cries to get it out.she also has the hiccups alot. She is also very hard to burp. Her father uses the restroom every time he has any dairy produces (sorry if TMI) and he believes she is lactose tolerant. I started using Gripe water today to see if it helps. So the biggest question is: Should I switch to Lactose free milk or is the Alimentum a type of lactose free formula? Also, if I switch, should I stay in the Similac family and how should I go about switching it without causing any problems to my baby. 1st time mom and any answers will help. Thanks

Well I had my appt today. I am 38 weeks 3 days preggo. I had to have my contractions stopped about an month ago. I am now back to having contractions but I am not dilating. I was told that I am a fingertip and 50% effaced. My doctor went ahead and scheduled me to come in on Monday afternoon and they are going to insert something to ripen my cervix for 12 hrs then start me on pitocin. I don't know why I can't wait until my due date which is March 3rd. Should I be worried about being induced? Will it hurt?

Ok. Well I am 38 weeks 2 days today. Only 12 more days to go. I have been on medication for the past month to stop some early contractions that I was having. Saturday, the 14th was my last day on the medication. I have been having some contractions today, about 15 mins apart. When I was having them before the medication, I could not feel them, but now I can. They feel like really bad cycle cramps and my lower back hurts really bad when I am having them. They are lasting about a minute or so. I have seen an bloody mucus or anything. Do you think I am starting labor? How much longer do you think I have before my princess arrives? Also, do you think I should go walking and have sex the rest of this week to help with the progress? Thanks for your answers and good luck to all who are expecting.

Ok. So I just turned 37 weeks pregnant yesterday :-). On January 8th, I was in the hospital for having contractions. I was then giving terbutaline to take ever since. Well my doctor was going to take me off this medicine yesterday, but decided to wait since she would be out of town this weekend and do not want the baby to come. SO, Saturday the 14th will be my last day taking the medicine. My question is: How long after you got off terbutaline did you actual start labor and when did you have your baby? I hope I do not go past my due date. This is my first and I am ready to meet my princess!

Ok. I have filed taxes in the past, but this is new. For 2008, I was married, paying student loans, brought a house, and got a new job with retirement. What all can I put on my taxes? Can I put my car sticker on there? Interest and taxes for my house? student loans? etc? Also, I donated some brand new items (clothing) to good will and they gave me a form but only signed it and I was told to add up the tags off the clothes to get the amount. How does that work? Please help.

Ok. I went for my normal weekly appt (32 weeks). I was told I was having contractions back to back. I also know that I had alot of fluids. Well, my doctor wanted to go in and get some fluids from the sac to test it but could not do it because of the contractions. She want to test for infections and down syndrome in the baby. I stayed 2 nights in the hospital and now home on bed rest and taking terbutaline every 6 hrs for contractions. Have this ever happen to anyone? How much longer did you last before you had the baby? How long was you on bed rest? What was your test results? Any information will help and hopefully calm my nerves.

Ok. So I have a couple of question. I am having a baby girl. I am stuck between the names, Camryn or Kennedy!! Well I am also stuck on the spelling of Kennedy because I want to change it and also a middle name for my daughter. Hear are the spellings I like: Kennedi & Kynnede. I was trying to spell it with a "C" because both of her parents name begins with a "C", but no luck. So the questions are:

Well I do not know the exact date of my last period, but I do know it was on the week of May 26th. I started a new job that week, and it was on. I took a test on July 1st and found out I was pregnant. I went to the doctor on July 8th. I told the doctor the last week of my cycle. She told me that I conceived on that week. She said that I was 6 weeks at the time due to my last cycle. The sonogram showed I was 5 weeks 6 days. Is this possible? I would like to check the Chinese Gender Chart. It says if I conceived in May, it is a girl but if its in June, its a boy. Please let me know what you think! Thanks

Well I just got a great job in May. I have only been working for 1 month. I found out I am pregnant this week. This is my husband's and I first child. We are so happy! I go to the doctor next week. When should I tell my boss? Do you think I will be replaced? I should be able to get family medical leave and will be able to use sick and vacation time after 6 months on the job. I will not have been on the job 1 year before i will have to take maternity leave. I am an accountant. What do you think I should do? Will I get fired? By the way, everyone in my department is older and have childs that are 12 and up. I am only 25.

I got a new car (Nissan Maxima) and I will like to know what I need to do to keep it running good for the next 10-12 years. I know that I need to get an oil change every 3000 miles, and I do. What about tune ups, tire rotated and balance, new tires, service checks, etc? I just want to keep up with my car and I don't know what all I need to get done! Please help!
