  • How many deadlifts should I do?

On a quest to tone up (and hopefully lift my butt lol!) i'm hoping deadlifts will help but I have no idea how many reps is a good idea for the amount of weights I have? I haven't a gym set, just some ankle weights that are about 4.5kg in total i think. I kinda just hold onto the strapping lol. Would getting a kettle bell be a good idea? Is 7.5kg good? Or would it bulk me up? (i'd like to avoid that)

I'm just under 58kg, 5'2". Currently I'm doing 100 reps (5 sets of 20). I find squats build up my thighs, hence i'd like to avoid anything that involves a squat move (like stairs etc) but i wouldn't mind any other exercises that can help tone the back of my legs and lift my glutes.

Oh, ps, i just had surgery so high impact activity is off limits atm! :( (bought a skipping rope to use in the back garden and i can't yet!)

    Thanks in advance!

  • Too anaemic for surgery?

Hi, i'm due to have some surgery on the 18th but my haemoglobin results have come back 10.9. Normal range is 11.5-15.5. I don't want to put this surgery off :(. How can I up my iron levels FAST before this date? How fast does the body utilise the iron? Should I take some high strength iron tablets before I go. If so, what stength doses should I be looking at? Many thanks!

  • Parking fine in london?

Hi all, i was wondering if i should chase this up any further... The story is, i got my first parking ticket this summer. At the time i kept calling up to pay it before it went up but noone in their office/hq/whatever, could find my reference number (was told the warden's file didn't download properly?) so i couldn't clear my fine. Eventually i gave up calling as i was frustrated with being told to call back again and again (even after the amount increased). And i eventually forgot about it :-S and carried on living. I guess im just worried about the repercussions as any fine ive always paid but since they couldn't find it and i've had noone chasing me for 6 months, what should i do? Many thanks!
