  • Does the teaching of forgiveness require forgiveness of murderers and rapists?

"The teaching of forgiveness" is phrased so that it's not just religious.

  • Not comfortable calling us "boy/girlfriend"?

What is the typical amount of time you spend in an un-named relationship before you begin calling yourself boy/girlfriend?

I have been seeing a woman for three weeks, we have spent time at each others houses, we see each other 5-6 days a week for at least 3 hours each day. We talk on the phone, IM, etc. We're having sex. All these things to me mean that we're boy/girlfriend, but she says she's uncomfortable giving our relationship a name.

This makes me feel like she is "testing the waters" with me and it makes me wonder if she likes me but doesn't want to commit so that she can walk away when it suits her.

Am I right to feel this way or am I just over thinking this?

    thanks

  • how do you tell someone this?

How do you tell someone who always complains about people being negative, whiny and bitchy that they are in fact the one who is negative, whiny, and bitchy and the reason the world seems that way to them is because their skewed and dysfunctional worldview keeps them from ever recognizing the positive, not sweating the small stuff, or just dealing when nothing can be done.

I want to tell her in a way that doesn't sound so brutal even though the fact is I've never heard her open her mouth and do anything other that nag, *****, whine, piss, moan and complain. Seriously it's as bad as that, no exaggeration.

If she can't complain about something she just stays quiet. The diametric opposite of that saying

"if you don't have something nice to say then don't say anything at all".

btw she's my brothers fiance or I wouldn't spend any time around her, just in case you were wondering.

  • What is that x factor and how do I know if I have it.?

It's been a long time since I've had a relationship and the loneliness is creeping back into my mind.

The problem is that my last two relationships have ended in major heartbreak and now I can't trust that the next woman isn't just going to do the same.

I don't blame women, I figure I'm missing some essential element that makes a good boyfriend.

Whatever that x factor is I don't know. Maybe the x factor is just believing that you have the x factor already like the magic feather in Dumbo or the mojo in Austin Powers.

There's a bitter part of me that notices that I get a lot of looks when I walk around dressed for work. I work in a law office so I have to wear casual professional clothes; so I wonder if the x factor is actually a $ factor. When I think that this might be the case it bothers me because I don't want to be looked at like a wallet with legs.

So women, what is that x factor and if its a $ factor please just be honest with yourself and us.

    thanks

  • how many people are tired of the word "gay" being used as a slur?

I see it all the time. People writing or saying that others are being gay, or this or that is gay. It's really just childish. Our society is in a state of intellectual atavism.

I'm pretty sure that some people will even say that my asking this question is "gay".

for those people that do thank you for proving my point.

  • What is the Meaning of Life?

I hold the view that we are just miraculous machines and that life has no purpose or meaning that we don't give it.

    BUT

I'm curious what other people think.

  • List of Vampire types.?

Can anyone give me a list of resources for learning about different types of vampires. I've read Bram Stokers "Dracula" and Anne Rice's "Vampire Chronicles" what are some others?

Please DO NOT list sources of vampires like the "Twilight" teen angst vampires.

I'm not hardcore into vampires, I just think its a neat myth.
