Any advice on how to become "un-shy" and gain the ability to make new friends?

This may seem silly to you but for me it is like this gigantic wall that is right in front of me that I just cannot seem to climb.

I will want to try but then the evil butterflies in my stomach will just pull me back down to my seat.

That is everyday for me.

I'm guessing it'll get better over time? <- It better :S

I'm really curious. For me, it would have to by my Sociology professor. Her class has opened my eyes to a whole new way of thinking. Not only is she informative, she also makes class really fun and interesting. It just leaves you wanting to go out in the world and make a change. That is why I left a 'question' earlier (if you want to check it out or not is completely up to you)

I think if we want to make this world a better place to live in, we have to start with ourselves.

One small act of kindness can mean the world to someone.

Anyways, I know this question is kind of all over the place but I just wanted to send a positive message to all of you.

But really, has anyone you met ever inspired you in some way or changed your life?

I just want you to know that you are a beautiful and unique person and don't ever let anyone tell you how you should dress, how you should act, or who you should love. Be who you are, because without you, the world will be short one truly amazing person. It only takes one great idea from one person to change the world. So be yourself, be original. Do something nice for somebody else, dance in the rain, go on an adventure and discover yourself and see how awesome you really are.
