  • Will sports that require me to wear a helmet wear out my hair color?

I got a Splat hair dye kit today. I was planning on dying my hair in a couple days. I work at a horse farm and I am in the saddle several hours a day, and I wear a helmet during that time. I also live in Florida so my head gets very sweaty from this. Will sweating under the helmet make the color fade faster or unevenly? Any horseback riders have experience with semi-permanent hair color? Any tips?

  • Stomach pain only when I lay on my back?

Often I wake up at night from a sharp abdominal pain. However this only happens if I roll onto my back in my sleep and stay there. I'm certain laying on my back is the cause because if I lay on my back to read or play on my phone the pain arrives after only a couple minutes and doesn't go away until I get up or roll onto my side or stomach.

The longer I'm on my back the worse the pain gets and the longer it takes to go away. When this happens I get a sharp stomach pain when I inhale and I have to take shallow breaths until it subsides. When the pain starts to ease, only after getting off my back, it sort of feels like all my insides are sliding back into place? That's the only way I can describe it.

Also I've noticed if I lay on my back but put my knees up or if I sit up slightly it helps a lot and it takes long for the pain to arrive.

Laying on my back is the only thing that causes this kind of pain that I've noticed. Any ideas? I haven't been able to find any help with this at all.

  • Stuck shed on my leopard gecko's toes!?

I noticed some stuck shed on her toes the other day, so last night I soaked her in warm water and got some of it off.

The thing is, I got her from a friend who was scared of her so she never had any handling, and I thought she would prefer to just be left alone. But when I put my hand in her tank last night she crawled right on happily. Then I proceeded to soak her and get a lot of the skin off. She was getting agitated so I stopped for the night, but I got a lot of the stuck shed off.

Now here is my problem. I wanted to soak her again tonight to get the rest off, but when I put my hand in she didn't crawl on, and when I took my hand away she went into her hide. She didn't panic or run away but she wasn't so eager to get on my hand this time. There's only a tiny bit of shed stuck on the tips of some of her toes now so is it worth stressing her to get it off? She has a moist box but she never goes in it and she's never had stuck shed before. She didn't eat this morning so I'm worried she's stressed from soaking etc. yesterday.

So basically my question is, is it worth stressing her to get the rest of the shed off? She seemed to completely trust me before and now she's not so eager to come to me. I don't want to break her trust but I don't want to risk her losing toes either. Any suggestions? Sorry the explanation is so long, and thank you if you've stuck with me this far!!
