  • 2.0 petrol 2001 Ford Focus rattling underneath when accelerating. (UK)?

My Focus has developed a kind of rattling noise when i put my foot down. It starts only if i put my foot down below 2100 rpm, in any gear. If i just cruise up through the gears it doesn't happen, or at least i do not notice it. It seems to be worse under load, like if im going up hill the amount of throttle that causes it is a lot less. It also doesn't happen for the first 10 mins of driving, till the cars fully warmed up (normally). It sounds like its coming from under the passenger side of the car. It does not effect performance in any way, it just sounds a bit wrong. Any ideas will be gladly received. Thanks in advance.

  • Could my terrible colds be a result of having chemotherapy 9 years ago?

9 years ago I had cancer of the testicles known as terotoma, it was also in the tissue of my lower back. I had my right testi removed and I received a 16 week course of B.E.P chemotherapy. I have been cool on the cancer front ever since. My Q is; could this contribute to the fact i get such nasty colds and flu? At present i have a cold and it has killed me off, where as a mate caught the same cold off me and is dealing with it perfectly well. Its the kind of a pattern I've seen for years now? Is the chemo still affecting my life all these years down the line???

Many thanks in advance for you advice...

  • Why do my right hand side dim dip and tail lights keep blowing? Rover 214Sie?

The Police pulled me over the other day to inform me my right tail light was not working, we took a walk round the car and all other lights were fine. I replaced the bulb, but to no avail, so started looking at fuses. I replaced the 10amp fuse and clicked the lights on one click to dim dip and all lights worked a treat, until i put the main lights on the next click.... This time it blew 2 fuses; the rear tail light and main beam, both right side. I replaced them again and this time only the dim dip and the tail light went, both on the same fuse?. I'm at a bit of a loss with electrics so any help will be muchly appreciated.

  • explain this american attitude?

The below excerpt is from a question i answered and the guy who answered after me said this.....

In America, the people are citizens. In other countries where guns are regulated, the people are subjects. Without guns you have no rights, no guaranteed protection of the welfare of your family, and no SHTF help. You are at the complete mercy of others when you do not carry a gun on you.

Am I the only one who finds this view retarded?

  • Would my car fail an emissions test because of low oil/water?

My car has just failed its MOT for emissions being excessive at idle (among a few other little bits). Would the fact that it was running low on oil and water affect the emission levels? The MOT test centre suggested its the cat converter? I just don't wanna replace it, if a little top up of the necessary fluids (which i've done already) will bring it down that little bit that's needed for it to pass.

any info will be much appreciated.

    Thanks

ps. I know I'm a fool and should of checked the levels before I MOT'd it :(

  • is it a requirement of law that a third person be present when a woman gives a man a sports massage?

My wife is adamant that the massage lady i'm seeing for my back ache is dodgy and therefore also seedy. She seems to think its law that she is not allowed to massage my back unattended. Can someone clear this up for me so i have the back up needed to prove her wrong and continue getting my back sorted.

Thanks in advance for your answers :)

  • auto jeep will not change into third gear?

My automatic jeep grand cherokee will not change into third gear until it has warmed up. when starting from cold on a slightly cold day it can take up to 20 min's or so to warm up and finally change into third gear. Its been a bit better since the weather warmed up a bit. I have changed the transmission oil and filter but its made no real difference.

Any help will be appreciated, many thanks in advance.

  • Storage of calor gas?

I am due to move into a penthouse apartment, the block committee leader is saying its against the law to store calor gas on my balcony (in the form of a BBQ and a patio heater) or in my garage. Does anyone out there know where i stand on this, is it against the law to store it? I am in the uk.

  • drivers side main beam not working?

my headlight stopped working the other week so replaced the bulb, problem solved.... or so i thought! The headlight went again the other day so i replaced the bulb again but to no avail, i have checked the bulb and it works fine. i have also checked the fuse which also seems fine. since the headlight went the second time the full beam indication light on the dash is slightly illuminated whenever the main beam lights are on. The full beam also doesn't work on drivers side, just the side lights. Can i fix this myself or should i put it in a garage? Oh and its a corsa 1.2 R reg.

Many thanks in advance to any one who can help.

I got in my motor this morning and after driving for a few minutes i noticed condensation building along the bottom of my windscreen. I put the heaters on to demist my windscreen and it got worse to the point of steam blowing out the demister vents. It is more on the drivers side than and after a minute or two of having the heaters/demister on there was water soaking the inside of my windscreen and every other window misted up. Please help!
