Guaranty Bank account just got overdrawn by about a dollar. Any suggestions?
Got myself into a situation here. I bought something that put me just over a dollar overdrawn on my bank account. The bank is closed. I have a few bucks on a gift card and am wondering if there is any way to get that money into the bank electronically tonight to cover that to avoid the fee? Anyone know if there is a minimum amount you have to be overdrawn before they charge a $35 overdraft fee or is it if you go over $.01 they automatically charge the $35?
1 AnswerPersonal Finance8 years agoWould light from a red giant be red?
The Sun is a yellow star but the light is white. Or is it actually yellow and just looks white? I just want to make sure that its not a misconception that a red giant's light is in fact tinted red. Would it be a bright obvious red or just a very slight red tint?

7 AnswersMilitary8 years agoCan I use a program I made in Visual C# at work?
I created a little program using Microsoft's free Visual C# and .Net Framework 4.0 at home to automate a mundane process at work. Would my work have to pay Microsoft to use it? Or since it isn't making anyone any money directly am I allowed to use it? Just unfamiliar with the legalities of it. Thank you for any help!
4 AnswersProgramming & Design1 decade agoWhat is the logic behind the Supreme Court's decision to let corporations make political donations?
It seems so wrong, so counter-intuitive, and would seem to enable corruption. Is there a limit to the amount a corporation can contribute (per individual, or per year, any limits)? I think the argument was that corporations should have the same rights as individuals - which is a ridiculous argument as far as i can see. What benefit could possibly arise from giving them the same rights as individuals?

3 AnswersCelebrities1 decade agoLooking for pc game that is a horror and mystery and you don't die?
What is a good - relatively new - pc game where there are puzzles kinda like myst or riven or where you are like a detective in a murder case or something. I'm looking for a game for my sister and she's always playing these old boring point and click games. I just always think there have got to be better games that are similar out there. Any help is appreciated.
4 AnswersVideo & Online Games1 decade agoIs it illegal to bribe a club bouncer with fake money?
If I go to an exclusive club, walk pass the line and up to the door man with a couple girls, and he gives me any grief, if i shake his hand and leave a folded up fake 100 in his hand, is that illegal? (doesn't really matter if it works or not) Just wondering if that hypothetical situation would be legal or not... Any insight is appreciated.

5 AnswersFootball (American)1 decade agoFourth amendment clarification?
FOURTH AMENDMENT [U.S. Constitution] - 'The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.'

Were the property owner's rights infringed upon?
And secondly, "persons, houses, papers, and effects" What does effects mean in this context? Is land that you own included in "houses"?
4 AnswersGovernment1 decade agoWhat is going on in the House of Representatives right now?
I'm watching C-Span and the House republicans seem to be in the middle of some of the most childish shenanigans I have ever seen. They are OBVIOUSLY just wasting time for no reason...? Every vote they move to take a recorded vote even when it is OBVIOUS which way the vote went. That's all fine and dandy i guess, but then they ask for a reconsideration of the amendment - even if the vote on it was like 400+ to 12! So then the entire house (at least the 200+ democrats) erupts in a nay vote for the reconsideration but then the republicans ask for an electronic vote on that as well. This is getting ridiculous...

7 AnswersRenting & Real Estate1 decade agoDo you watch FOX "News" for information or entertainment? Purely entertainment for me.?
I just realized that I watch FOX "News" a lot. But its just for the entertainment of watching ridiculous idiots. You would think that there are abundant sources of idiots to watch, but the kicker with FOX is that I don't think they know they are idiots! And that is hilarious to me.
The only channel I watch to actually get news from is C-Span. With its Washington Journal and Senate and House coverage - which is great btw.
5 AnswersMedia & Journalism1 decade agoIs there any law saying that an employer has to tell you why they didn't hire you?
Just went through 5 interviews with a company and then they said they weren't interested. I had thought the job was in the bag and am just wondering why they went with someone else. Are they required to explain or no?
6 AnswersLaw & Legal1 decade agoCosmic Background Microwave Radiation from where?
Was just thinking about the CBMR and was thinking that there are so many stars out there. And if space is expanding and the light is expanding with it, could it be that the light from all the stars is getting red-shifted into the microwave part of the spectrum?
I have to assume that the people who study it know what they are talking about, so just hoping someone might be able to explain why this possibility (or impossibility) has been ruled out.
Thanks in advance

9 AnswersOther - Politics & Government1 decade agoI have a black border about 1.5 inches thick all around on my monitor with lates nvidia drivers.?
I'm using a Geforce 8800 GT in PCIe with latest drivers. And with the 175 drivers i can resize the desktop through the nvidia control panel so that the display fits the entire screen, but with drivers higher than that, when I go into the "resize my desktop" the two sliders are all the way up and all I can do is shrink the display which like I said already has a 1.5 inch border of black all around it.
In the 175 drivers, there is only one slider for the resize my desktop option and it defaults to half way when I first install those drivers, so I can slide almost all the way up and the display will fill my monitor.
I am using a 32" HD TV @ 1080i and the HD component (the red green and blue cables) output of the video card.
Any ideas are appreciated.
