  • A car stereo that i was given had a ripped off antenna jack.?

After getting into what was left of the wire, there was a braided steel mesh over top of a red cord, inside the cord was about 5 strands of copper wire. Does the braided steel mesh need to be continued, as well as the copper? Its not working with just the copper now, unless i did it badly to begin with. Anybody with car audio experience on?

  • Can Venus directly eclipse earth?

I know that when it between us and the sun apparently it is considered in transit. But is there a point in which earth could actually pass through its shadow? Or would the shadow be so diffuse by that time that it would be barely noticeable?

  • In cosmology every massive cluster of objects is said to be gaining distance between all of them.?

Meaning the expansion of the universe. If this is true, would it also be true that all of the extra-galactic objects would becoming dimmer to us in appearance. Have we noticed this affect yet?

  • I'm tired of being around negative people.?

It seems around in my life I'm stuck (for the moment) dealing with negative people. And, it's beginning to make me not want to deal with them at all. Neighbor, roommate, coworkers. Of course being positive, I really have no desire to go tell everybody off and make a bunch of even more negative enemies.

Mainly I guess the behaviors that drive me the most nuts are; gossip (negative, rumor, trying to put put people down so you can step on top of them), shooting down ideas from others without consideration (not only mine), temper tantrums, general arrogance, and not that its really always negative, but lying makes me boil.

Anybody have any good ways they've dealt with negative people that didn't turn into $h1t storm?

  • How do I make a master car battery shut off system?

I have a 78 Lincoln Continental. Works great still, but the battery slowly seeps out when its dormant. Instead of tearing into it I'd rather just make a master shut off in the cab of the car. Mainly to get rid of the hassle of having to pop the hood and connect and disconnect the battery to save on juice.

    Solenoid?

    Relay?

HV resistors, and a few HV diodes?

    Anybody got any good ideas?

  • Any insight? My computer has been over heating, fan is broken.?

So I've opened the case, and placed a nice little air mover (a fast fan) to point at everything. The temperature plumeted to 78 degrees, and is relatively constant. (also is very responsive) Under hard work, the temp raises up about 3-4 degrees. The room temperature around the computer is about 67 degrees. What is a good way to express the temperature output of my computer?

  • If there are radioactive mineral deposits on earth...?

that have half lives down to less than a year, how could there possibly be any left on the planet it being so old? The amount left would have to be unmeasurably small right? But I suppose we find it still, how is this possible?

  • I know this a touchy subject. But, why are women seemingly so rude and cruel to men?

I smile, I'm friendly, I have hobbies, and a normal service job. Although just trying to be friendly with girls is getting harder and harder because the vast majority are just nasty back. I try to tell myself this isn't every girl. And it isn't on the surface. But, from them just cheating on you, to having you as a placeholder till they find somebody better. To the begging for money, or the expectation that you will be extremely successful later in life. I'm not trying to rant, im not trying to damn the other side of the sexes. I just don't get it, men hear constantly that women want a man with sense of humor, good morals, personable personality. But they constantly seem to turn down these traits for more negative ones. Then turn around and say this is what men do, in which plenty of us are standing on the sidelines waving their arms saying hey, we don't all do this. Which yes is the exact answers most of these questions get, "Not all of us are like that", as well as "Oh just hang in there, there's somebody out there for you." I really want to try to be a total dick to women, but its just not me. Anybody have some true answers to any of my thoughts? Please no cliches.

  • Does lobbying increase the cost of health care?

In 2009 pharmaceutical companies paid 1.8 billion dollars in lobbying efforts to squash health care reform. Insurance lobbyist came in at second place with 1.3 billion dollars.spent to stop the efforts. My question is that 3.1 billion spent from health care to stop this, will all of us health care consumers have to pay them that 3.1 billion back?

  • Are we spending too much time together?

We have been seeing each other for about 4 weeks now. The first week was every day, every free moment. In which I was completely fine with. By the end of that though I started to realize I couldn't get much done, I had no time for friends, and my sleep was beginning to get harmed. I began to tell her that we needed to spend time apart. But every day there seemed to be an excuse, at the last minute when my free time would begin. And, I know its my fault for caving and letting her come over every time. But, each time she keeps getting more creative, and finding different ways to ultimately stay over.

She just moved here, doesn't have a job yet. Not many friends, and I know I'm a lot of her world right now. Of course this is to me still all very new, and I've learned to not be somebody that jumps into things head first.

I've already helped her meet some new friends, but it seems mainly she's using them to get right back to me by the end of the night. I keep telling her I really would like a night off so I can at least breathe. We've only had three nights away, and each of those nights is followed by a very early wake up call. In some ways it all kind of creeps me out.

I warned her that if all of this time competed too much for my free and work time that I worried I would begin to resent our time. And few hints of it are starting to show. I really want to give her time to settle into town, and I want to help her as much as I can. But how long should I let this last, I don't want to resent her that's not the point...

  • I'm confused. Many women have said, "where are all the good guys?" Conversely they ditch out when the chase

is over. Good guys who find somone they like and want to be around, really fall for girls who show the same interest. And show their care by being there for them. But, it seems to me that when that happens, girls find the exciting chase of trying to bridle you is over. They get bored, and move for larger challanges. Then, they will go out on the limb for an extra hard character to subdue. When in the end they find that that person wont give them the light of day, and won't treat her like she wants to be treated. She says, "where are all the good guys." So she finds a nice one, couple months pass, gets bored, and ditches. Is this ringing bells with anybody? It doesn't make sense, but I'm seeing it over and over. Any thoughts?

  • Can anybody suggest an affordable health insurance company for a low income, young man?

I would really like to have the ability to go to the doctor when I need. But, I can't seem to see the necessity of having health insurance. Being it so expensive, and that I so rarely need to seek medical attention. On the other hand, the clinic in town will not schedule appointments for anyone without insurance. I would like to be more concious about my physiological self with the advice of a medical practitioner. But, not at the cost of hundreds of dollars a month, which I can't afford. Its just not in the cards. HELP!

  • I was lied to multiple times by my girlfriend and ditched. After finding out I was ditched I went back...?

...to find her partying it up with her friends. Earlier that night I had lost my best friend when his girl told him he could never talk to me. It had been a week since I'd seen her, and she barely calls anyhow. Funny thing is I have never found a more logical and sincere girl that I get along with. And now she says she doesn't wanna break up with me, but she doesn't know how to be a more commited girlfriend. I see her once a week if that, she calls me twice a week if that. And spends lots of time with friends. She says this is a problem shes had in the past, being commital. Im scared of the posibilities of loosing another one i care about. How can I convince or atleast come to grips with a girl who barely cares? And please no a$$hole people. Just good advice..

  • Am I asking too much for a girlfriend to keep in contact with me once a day or every other day? I dont...?

want to seem needy, but I do like to hear from her. I try calling her and shes always 'never available'. And seriously I do trust her, I just like to feel liked. Which is why I call her to say hi. I dont know, I just don't know how to keep her attention. She's a socialite, she knows a ton of people, and balances her schedule accordingly. I just want her to want to be around me and talk to me more. And drunk guys, i dont want your answers, please move on. Females, I want your brains working here.

  • I'm a younger man that suffers from ED. My sex drive is enormous, my "other" skills on pleasing obviously...

work very well. My partner is very happy with my oral and digital (hands) performance. AKA i know how to please a woman. But acual sex, I lack an ability to be a horny brute male. I'm not saying that every time I can't have sex, but I feel I will loose my girl to another with my lack of ability. And really I dont need smart A$$ answers from drunk guys right now. Females? Any advice or ways of thinking of this? I really just dont want to get left for another masculine boar.

  • In a couple month old relationship, how many days a week would seem fitting to get to hang out?

Mainly she never calls cause she has nothing to say. But on the days that are for us; we are totally together. I really care about her, but it always seems im fifth chair to so many others. She's a socialite, I just wish she had some sort of magnetics towards me. A want to call and say hi, a want to be around me. Am I asking too much from the wrong person? And no I dont want to leave her, shes level, logical, sane (dear god ther is a sane woman). I guess I just hate getting so little attention from a significant other. Anybody have any ideas of how to deal w/ this or how to think of this?

..and they are garnishing me already. Can I get my 'instant' loan, if they do give it to me will the CPA ask me to give it back if the IRS wants to withhold it? Who's liable? The CPA for giving me the money? or Me anyhow for running loops to get my overpaid taxes?
